People...IT'S ALREADY BEEN LOWERED

Not my fault they come from the factory on stilts, but it is my fault that I hate coilovers and am not willing to sacrifice ride comfort as I do high mileage on crappy, crappy roads :S

The joys.

Oh, and I'm a student who has a habit of buying car bits he really shouldn't and am therefore perma-skint

Wheel look crap mate! ;) Which fool did you buy them off, oh wait! :D

Just realised now what the above implies, but I was self criticising, not insulting Mr Jeugo :D

I agree with "five spokes" when there are five wheel bolts! So easy to clean - you can get your hands right through to the rear and do a proper job.

One thing though, what gives with the mains extension lead in the water - take care there!

My wife's car looks a bit different with its nice new shiny black steel wheels and Michelin Alpins 3's (back down to 185/60 on 14" rims for winter - quite a comfy ride!).

Yeah, it should be a bit more convenient now :D

Don't worry, that was just there while I was shifting the hoover, and is always hooked up to an RCD anyway :)

Haha! I was surpised to see that they hadn't been twisted by a load of Mongrel torque ;)

El Skinto at the moment

Personally I really like it. I did get your text, sorry I didn't reply sooner.

If it were my car (and had the money) I would probably look over time to put some subtle mods to the bodywork just to make it look a little more agressive/lower/different.

I do love the colour of your car though

:thumbup::thumbup:

if it was me id either keep it as it is or put coilies on and loxer it just a tad more not much tho maybee 30/35 mm just to drop the back arse down but if youve got people in the back it would scrape so id just save and keep as it is looks very nice tho, any ideas on what your gona do to it next?

Thanks and no worries mate, got a few ideas in the pipeline B) Your bumper is still sitting under my desk but not for too much longer

Haha I do see where you're coming from, but doing the mileage I do on roads that are generally fecked, I really don't want to sacrifice ride comfort, especially as I find the Koni/Eibach combo to give an excellent mix of ride comfort and handling improvements...plus they did cost me a lot of money :D

There's also the fact they take minimal maintenance, which appeals to me as I live in a 2nd-floor flat and my tools are 250 miles away from me, at home in the Western Isles. Maybe one day, but at the moment coilovers really aren't for me.

Hmm, since you ask...I have matt@theforce's old vRS rear bumper sitting unbder my desk waiting to be sprayed and fitted. This means I'll need something to fill the exhaust aperture. I think I've settled on a Blueflame catback, although I may go for a Jetex one, plus a Miltek de-cat B)

Later on in the year I'll probably look at fitting PD130 injectors/turbo and the associated bits and pieces, and get it mapped to suit. Fun times ahead.
