What channel was that on?

Haven't seen it yet.

It always amazes me how easily people can be pleased, by seeing a commercial about Superb estate....wow.

Anything to do with Skodas makes me happy...

The UK advert is an edited version of the European "moodfilm", but seeing as Skoda UK have got their hands on it they made it less good, insisting on replacing the classy looking Skoda logo at the end with a crappier version and a less good tagline too

Here's the original:

It was on one of two channels....itv or channel 4...i know that doesnt sound helpful....but i had the tv number removed on the tv settings...doh.....my wife thinks its itv...so keep your eyes peeled. As for being pleased to see the advert showing the superb, it was just nice seeing the estate that in my opinion, looks better than the passat equivalent and lesser models...i personally think they will sell more than the sister saloon version.

Or even try channel 5 (whilst the Gadget Show was on).

lovely car,

well overpriced in my opinion.

i would have thought it was priced to beat the competition and at the same time open other drivers eyes and let them know that you can get quality and good looks for far less......why pay thousands of pounds more for an estate when the superb has it all, and beats the other maunfacturers down in spec and pricing?....mind you..........if i had the money id go for the top of the range 3.6 v6.

I have just (literally, as our postie has decided to put in an appearance) recieved an invite to my local dealers launch of the Superb estate !!

As they do very nice tea and cakes at these type of events I may well take a look see. The model featured in the TV ad looks err Superb.....sorry.

I just popped in my local Skoda dealer the other day and saw that they had an estate in their new car compound. What a handsome beast.

seen the advert though I have a feeling they are aiming for the older market :p

Test drove the 170cr dsg estate today (went in to pick up the MDI Ipod lead and the dealer said I should have a test drive so I do lol) very very nice car to drive. Lots of kit and wow factor really...............well done Skoda!!

Sherlodge in Gillingham already have one in the showroom, had a long look around it yesturday ;)

Really brings the brand into focus. Talked to our dealer the other day and het told me that they were selling more Superb sedans as well after the Estate hit the showrooms. Not too suprising when taking into account the huge bootspace of the sedan.

Got confirmation of my build date today, order placed end of january, build date week 9, day 2, (early next week :) ), for a delivery by 20th march approx.

Ive only got one thing to say about the Superb estate.......ITS GORGEOUS! Seriously though its a bloody lovely looking car.

Overpriced??

Have you seen what the likes of Ford and Vauxhall want for an Astar/ Focus estate :o

I would say having mooched round one this afternoon that it is a shame Skoda put so much space in the rear seats rather than the boot (it is only very slightly longer than the hatch) Lets face it execs don't really buy estates to be chauffered round in the back of so they could have really made it a BIG estate load area.

What you are describing would have been a totally new concept. What do you expect? Just imagine how small the opening of the fond doors would be without further changes to the car design.

I know what you mean,

A bargain basement Astra 1.4 NA petrol costs more than 16K on the road, rising to more than 24K for the most expensive model, with the average spec costing around 21K, the Focus is between 18K to 24K. For that you get a much smaller and less spec'd car.

12 weeks ish for mine.... :) 4x4 170 manual :)
