As Rich says they're from a Golf MkIV so have airbags as standard and yes they're real!

Looking very very good :)

And you get dark carpet as standard

Any plans for the four spoke wheel Eddy ?

Ooh and if you've got any idea what kind of stubby arial would fit the Octavia then I'd be really greatful... the Golf ones no worky :grumpy:

Pete

Have you thought of getting a vRS Combi rear spoiler fitted, Eddy? Oh, and I like the mods you have done apart from the blacked-out rear badge (and the bonnet one too?). :)

You really do have to see Eddy's car in the flesh. Very stealthy.

Agreed. The piccy of the high level brake light doesn't do it justice, its very smart in the flesh. Mmmm, Recaros, nice nice nice.

Stathap - Eddy has an R32 steering wheel ready to go on, hes just waiting for the wonders of sticky back plastic to make the VW airbag into a Skoda one!

shame... I thought I might be able to flog him a vRS one ;)(joking)

I like it looks cool... love the seats

what you were saying when bringing them seats to me eddy really didn't do ya car justice and as said at time i really wish you had brought it along that day, but looking very nice mate

Thanks for the positive comments.

stathap - As DaveH says I've got an R32 wheel waiting to go on along with a matching handbrake lever. I can't help with the aerial I'm afraid as it's not something I've looked at yet. It's pretty easy just to mod the standard one though; heat the tip and pull it off, cut to size and and put the tip back on.

DGW - A few people have suggested the vRS rear spoiler but it just doesn't appeal to me. The badges are the thing I'm most unsure of, especially the front which should be coming off soon. ;) I don't have a problem with showing it's a skoda I just think they have a bit too much chrome as standard.

Like the recaros and pedals, blacked out bits are a bit maxpower for my liking but each to their own and great to see someone doing something a bit different!

Thanks, I understand what you're saying about the blackout bits although I think 'maxpower' is a bit harsh. :( Something different is exactly what I'm going for so looks like I'm acheiving that! I'm just trying to get a clean look at the moment, I'd like smoothed bumpers but they're a bit pricey. I think the next step would be tinted windows which I'm undecided on at the moment. As I've said though the rear badge is the part I really can't decide on. I ideally I'd like one with no chrome; just green and black, but to modify one would be pretty time consuming and tricky.

Maybe it's just the light, but I've never seen blacked out lights that actually look black, they always seem to be a dark burgandy and never quite matches the car...

Window tints would look great, saw a black L&K estate with *black* tints and looked fantastic.

The flash didn't help and so I'm not totally happy with how they look on the pics. They're actually painted black magic rather than just being smoked and look like the rest of the car when you see it in the flesh.

Look forward to it... :D

wasnt someone doing carbon look badges on here a while ago ?? not proper skoda ones but something that you could use i'd have thought.

like the seats and the pedals, like the wheels, brakes and colour coded bits but like you am not sure about the badge. like you say though it always looks better in the flesh...

the pedals, can you get the foot rest cover on its own ? i dont want to change the vRS pedals but wanted something to cover the foot rest with.

looking at ppics of the R32 steering wheel on the other car on here its going to set things off really well. someone got a job lot of these somewhere ??

AFAIK the carbon fibre look badges were only available with the vRS logo.

The deadpedal is available on it's own, it's not cheap though, vagparts sell it for

Oh yes - very nice indeed!

Did you colour code the whole black plastic insert at the top of the bumper? I'm kinda thinking about doing my red vRS estate but I'd be scared of scratching that bit when loading boxes...

Yes the complete plastic section on the rear bumper has been smoothed and painted. You just have to be aware of it when loading and unloading the boot but iv'e not had a problem with it.

Now then Eddy,

As a prospective 4x4 owner, whose main reservation is the low rent interior, could you provide details of where (as in the supplier not which model Golf. :)) you got the interior from and a ballpark cost?

Thanks.

Guy - I'll send you a PM

EDIT: There is no PM option when I click on your name. I'll email instead!

Very stealthy!

Might be alot of work this suggestion - but have you thought about debadging the back instead of just blacking out the badge. Loose the badge and the number plate (relocate the plate in the bumper as on the Golf MkIV).

Then it would be very smooth across the back!

Just one query about the rear lights - are they still legal? (not wishing to be a spoil sport :) )
