Possible to move the rearview mirror?

Featured Replies

As stated in topic title. The missus cannot reconcile herself with the placing of the rearview mirror. It is right in her face, (she is almost 6 f tall without her flip-flops) Is it possible to move the mirror one or two inches upwards?

Thanks in advance!

Dont think so due to the mirros being mounted onto the rain/light sensor which if moved higher will no longer function. I would suggest maybe she has the wrong driving position and needs to lower the seat a little.

I'd doubt you can move the mirror up any, but don't Superbs have height-adjustable driver's seats? If so, I'd suggest that SWMBO needs to move her seat down!

You two can be the ones to tell her, lol, I'd imagine he already has and has got the *just shut yer face fool* treatment, I think she's probably phased by the size of it and needs to get used to it.

How will she put her Lippy on..........?? :giggle:

Quite right, I did tell her, but taking the seat all the way down is not an option because she doesn`t want to have the feeling that she`s sitting on the floor of the car he he....Gives her a back-ache as well, stooping so low to get into the car.

She is almost 6 f remember ;) That`s why the seat is all the way up.

Of course it is something she could adapt to but anyway, I just wondered if it was possible to move the mirror upwards. Would have liked it better myself also. The mirror is quite big, too big anyway as it only needs to reflect the rear window and as it is now the reflection of the rear window only takes up roughly 70% of the mirror itself and that extra 30% I would rather have traded in for a more unhampered field of view through the front windscreen.

Maybe It is possible to buy a smaller rearview mirror, anyone knows of a compatible one?

All the better to admire myself in ;):giggle:

This thread's a wind up right? The mirror's where it is and doesn't move up or down for a reason............it's the driver that needs to move. I'm over 6'4" and have never had need in any vehicle to move the mirror upwards - mind you the mirrors on my bikes are only ever any good for checking out my shoulders ;)

EDIT> sorry Doc - I take that back, just checked a picture and that mirror's a bleedin' whopper!

You're lucky she uses the mirror anyway. My wife just looks straight ahead when driving.

That's my one fault, I'm a 'superb' driver, but often forget to check whether anyone is foolish enough to be faster than me, before i overtake.... one day that will bite me in the a** :giggle:

This doesn't make sense?? I'm 6ft and have to have the seat low so that I sit in the car and not on it. We have Fiesta's at work and the mirror is in your face in that and I hate it but then again the height doesn't adjust on the seat!
