I don't like to agree with Brimma , but for once I do , new Octavia badge awful

Personally I like the Skoda badge - gets under the skin of boy racers no end when they see it disappearing into the distance

As to the wiper, I use Pro-Vision Rain Clear on all my windows (great product, comes out as good as rain x in tests but is cheaper and easier to apply), and yes, it keeps the rain off and I use the wipers back and front a lot less since putting it on, but it doesn't prevent all the muck/dirty rain/volcanic ash/bird poo etc etc - so keep the wiper!

debadge it and dewiper it, feck everyone else , i owned 2 bmw coupes with no. rear wiper and had no problems for 4 yrs. personally think it will look great , use one of those window plugs and it will look really good. ive debadged every car i have owned up to now (havent done the skoda yet). the smooth look your after is one i really admire, little details like all the security stickers , dealer stickers makes a lot of difference.

Sometimes this forum frustrates me peoples views are very anti modifying (oooh you cant do that it might affect your insurance),(oooh you cant make a skoda different) unfortunately for the dullards more younger lads are going to be buying the mk2 vrs as it comes down in price and more of these mods are going to start happening!

ive always used an old storecard to remove the badge with a hairdryer to warm it up , then polish it up with some scratch x .

I like the idea of the VRS badge & Skoda roundel only, no Octavia badge

+1. That's exactly what I've had done to mine. Didn't like the font of Octavia.

I'm thinking of de-badging the Octavia badge when I get mine, but leaving the Skoda and vRS badges and wiper well alone. Any pics of a candy white hatch with the Octavia badge removed?

The Octavia badge is removed on mine but the VRS badge isn't which I like the look of, if both badges are removed it looks like something should be there rather than intentionally removed.

I've had an Octavia mk 1 hatch and a Toledo Mk 2 saloon both of which lacked rear wipers which I found irritating, while it's not as necessary as an estate I still found it's something I really needed as there were plenty of times it would be handy to clear the rear screen particularly over winter.

I thought it was standard for the VRS as I do think it looks good with just the VRS badge but noticed afterwards on seeing some pictures on here that it should have an Octavia badge on it.
