Styling mods

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Been replying to posts in threads for a while but only just figured out how to start my own thread :o (how thick am I,and now hoping it's in the right forum)

Anyway, all I wanted was to get some feedback and opinions on my latest bit of tinkering. As work was slow this week I decided to modify my front bumper by moulding in some mitsubishi Evo7 bumper vents (just because I can, and I had them lying around)

After 3 or 4 worked dinner breaks this is my result

I really like them but await your comments and views

hot

Oooh, I like those

:clapclap:

Looks great - modifying plastic bits (ie: bumpers) has always been a mystery to me!!! How do you do it?!!! I can't even see the joins!!!

Very smart

Gr8 mod.

How much for the vents? Wonder how much a bodyshop will charge to fit/paint em?

Looks great!!!

looks very cool

Very nice

Where are they in relation to the intercooler? Will they actually draw air through it, or divert the flow across the front of it? If the former, could be a good mod from a performance pov too.

Looks good.

They look like they have always been fitted. Very nice indeed - and just the thing to grace my Styling. ;)

I think you've hit upon universal approval there!

Thanks once again guys for the comments chaps!!!!! :D

Just to answer a couple of questions, 1 the vents were free as i cut them out of a smashed evo 7 bumper that was going in the skip at work ;) and 2 in relation to the intercooler they are bang on the side of it (they nearly didn't fit) so don't think they will have any performance merits at all, maybe a bit of extra cooling for the brakes?

On another unrelated topic the octy is poorley today :( looks like coilpack trouble as wifey drove to work in it it, and didn't return home with her.....and is now waiting at the dealers until they can fit it in.(car not wife :P ) looks like next monday :(

I like them, still considering getting the milotec ones myself but at least yours will be individual, good work

Bit of a resurrection this but I just wanted to moan

I clipped a speed bump today which cracked my bumper vent :finger: :finger:

As a parent I like them, but as a motorist(with a lowered car) :mad::mad::mad:

D'oh. Just need to wait and find another written off Evo... 5 minutes should do it lol.

I wonder how many people got out of their car and looked whether or not it has those vents and were gutted to find it didn't. They look very good. Almost like OEM.
