anyone with a porsche boxster as they get stuck down?

Went cycling for a couple of hours this afternoon. Broad sunshine and guess how many topless models I saw?........1! a 320i, all the others had the roof up :(

When I had my X1/9 I used to love driving through the night with the roof off. Something quite hypnotic about the quiet still of the night and the stars above :) I used to drive in light rain with the roof off too, well as long as I didn't have to do any stopping (coz you get soaked)

I had my top off today B)

Soaking up the volcano ash

When I had my A4 soft top, I reckoned there was only really January that I couldn't have at least one drive with the roof down.

Some of the best drives were cool but sunny November mornings with seat and car heaters on full blast, wind deflector in place and some **************** by ***************** in the CD player

(Actual music kept secret to save embaressment!! )

It was amazing how many friends used to say "what's the point of having a soft top, because you can only use it for 2 or 3 months a year with the roof down". My response used to start with "bo**ocks, you numpty's . . . . . . " :giggle:

Top is down every journey for me..

Every time i see a rag-top with the roof up in this weather, i die a bit inside.. mincers!

Just in work:

Audi A4

Merc CLK

Mk1 Golf Clipper

Aston Martin DB9 Volante

BMW M6

If I still had the Eunos, top down all the time! As it is, back in a "roofed" car now.

SWIMBO has had the top down on her Mergane skip a few times over the last week or so.

I had a 1 series converible courtesy car last week and it was bl@@dy draft compared to the mergane, not impressed!

I don't think an angle grinder provides the same kind of "convenient" throw it down hood system the MX5/Eunos provides! :giggle:

It does, but it only works once!

I saw a Peugoet 307CC with the top down!!!

Yipee I didnt have to yell out puussy!!!

When I had my soft tops (I have had 2 now), I always drove top down unless it was raining. Cloudy/sunny/cold/hot did not matter. You get some strange looks in the middle of January with the roof down, but hey it was sunny and with the heater on was quiet pleasent inside.

missus used to have a soft top mini - LOVED driving it with the top down, a completely different dimension whatever the weather. i did used to feel a bit self conscious in the wintery months tho - anyone else 'care'?
