19" Wheels?

Featured Replies

I picked up one my wheels with tyres in one hand, and one of the steels in the other and they were about the same. The list weight of my wheels was around 11kg, but I didn't buy them for the weight, just the function and appearance. :) The difference was definitely felt in the wallet though, and long term too as the car now uses more diesel... :(

Ah, I'm just biased as I find cars that grip quite unentertaining! :) And with regard to appearance -

it's a lot of money to pay for something for other people to look at... ;)

On the plus side, it does make your car very easy to spot when it's parked up in a car park. :D

rob.

Plus it distinguishes mine from all the other silver skodas, which are beginning to increase in numbers I reckon. Not that I should complain - Its good to see a car doing well against all the prejudice out there :)

Hi Paul,

My RS is lowered by 35mm using H&R springs, there is a picture in this forum of my car but I don't know how to link it to this post. I am sure someone will show me how its done.

thats a sweet looking machine - do you get grief from the fed for the windows - i have had loads for mine and the number plate spacing..

Thanks Paul,

No I don't get any grief from the "Boys in Blue" the window tinting in the picture looks much darker than it actually is. You can see into the car but there is enough shading. That could be why I haven't been stopped so far?

mine is meant to be legal - but i still get grief - there is a clampdown in lancashire at the moment and aparantly most mg/rover fail the test out of the showroom with the factory tint - so i guess the machine is not accurate.
