Well yes but that's been like it since i put it on so "meh"

It doesn't have a tacky Brisky Photo Challenge A4 sheet of paper??

Challenge #50 - A picture of your car with the aerial snapped in half

i am but the car has been faultless for a long long time so assume this must be things balancing themselves out in a short space of time.

Here's hoping i'm back to trouble free motoring for months to come.

The missus has already suggested that, as well as come sort of CCTV or a garage away from where we live

Fire escape growing out the car roof? ;)

At least now you have an excuse for doing the Honda S2000 aerial mod!

Citroen aerial mod! :)

Maybe it was Jebus telling you it's too long! :)

Kev

You aint half having a bad time atm mate, but as kev suggests, maybe its time you got on the band wagon and invested in either a s2k/typer aerial or that citroen one featured in a recent thread :) I'm tempted to change mine for the citroen one tbh as even if the radio signal is pants, i never listen to it anyway!

Citroen aerial mod! :)

This is so odd.. I was walking along yesterday to the supermarket and what did I see on the floor? A VAG aerial... but with the top bit missing from abouts the same place as your kink..

Do the standard aerials have a weak spot.. maybe to stop the roof getting a dent if you catch it on something?

Either way.. If you not a fan of the radio defiantly a good time for the Stubby aerial mod... But sorry to see your car got vandalized :(

Well at least they didn't steal it!emoticon-0148-yes.gif

See the anti-theft works!emoticon-0105-wink.gif

I'll get my coatemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Maybe you were going so fast yesterday that the air bent it :smirk:

It looks like you are going down the same road that I went down with my Fabia.

1) Window Smashed - Trying to get the head unit out. [Failed] - Blood all over my nice clean seats.

2) Ariel Broken in half.

I hope to god that the next step doesn't happen to you.

3) Car keyed - Boot, Right hand side and Bonnet.

I have never had so much bad luck with just one car?

Aerial stalk stolen, damaged base, £45.00 for full unfitted replacement.

Drivers door mirror smashed off, replaced £126.

Countless valve caps, got type that spins around now.£13.00

Scratches appear each time I wash car (rarily) not self inflicted. LOL

Had more luck with my old Orion Ghia 12 years old.

First loosen it and then lower it until it is pointing to the rear...

Then follow your natural instinct and tug on it firmly. :giggle:

It will hold on and then suddenly give and pop off. There is a kind of ballbearing attached to

the bottom off the thread. This is the anti theft bit.

The citroen unit doesn't have this but the thread is the same so is a direct fit.

Nothing wrong with being a Citroen baaaaaaaaaa-dboy. Join the club

Mrs Grr is already a member.

Anti-theft......up to a point - brilliant! :D

well i managed to extract the old aerial last night. not that anti theft really but did take a while so i guess thats the deterent.

I have snapped off the broken bit and put the half aeril back in for the time being until my citreon one arrives and weirdly the reception seems to be better now than with the full length but broken set up. :smirk:

How gay is that !

Nick

Depends if your gonna use original aerial base??

If require removing aerial base as well.

Carefully pull down roof lining to display base of aerial nut, and aerial cable connection to disconnect.

well fitted the citreon aerial mid last week.....what a waste of time. I've actuall yhad to put my half OEM aerial back in!!

not sure if i've done some damage when removing the OEM one but the Citreon aerial gives next to no radio reception at all

i'd say if its better with the half oem one its gotta be the citroen one and you cant really damage anything tugging the oem one off.
