Just discs and pads I'm afraid, don't know where to start to look!

i have used pagid fr pads on my last two SEATS they are pretty good, better than standard and not too expensive, kind to discs and non too shabby on the track.

try aawesome gti for a set ,you may be able to jump on the cupranet group buy.i paid 48 quid for mine.

still to fit the buggers yet though

Leave the discs standard, get Ferodo DS2500 pads and change the fluid....

Plenty of posts about it on Briskoda and it's a well proven "upgrade".

Martyc, take the advise that is given to you m8. There are quite a few who have done that, got the t-shirt and know what they are talking about.

If you want more answers, do a search as the information is here and just needs a little digging.

But do take notice and listen. Plenty here have made the mistakes already that you or others might make on almost any aspect of modding your Octy, and have posted on it as well. If you use the info they give you could save yourself a small fortune.

If you really want discs with holes in them, Black Diamond are also well proven, along with the DS2500 pads i already mentioned.

You are of course free to go your own way, but that would seem silly given that you've asked for suggestions :)

I've got a drill and a set of drillbits ............what size do you want ?.......... ;)

Cheers guys, The reason I'm changing is that my Octavia has done 58,500 and needs new discs and pads, my dealer is quoting large sums of cash to change for the same discs and pads as I've already got, so I thought I'd ask if I could get better for the same money or less, Thanks anyway, Martyc.

I have black diamond drilled & grooved disks with black diamond predator pads. I would recoomend that combo or the suggestions above.

If you do a search on brakes or brake discs there is a wealth of info.

3/8th should do nicely Pete :D

Unless the holes are cast into the disc (AP, Porsche) they will crack, especially after track use but even heavy road use.

Grooved are better.

Steve

PS I had a catastrophic failure of a black diamond disc after 500 miles (75 of those on track).

Hence my discs are still standard ;)

When I upgraded on my furby to 312mm discs, I purchased some ATE ones which are OEM'ed equipment. I've only ever used them in anger at Anglesey and cost a measly
