Is my car cursed?

Featured Replies

Just picked up a new Octavia this afternoon and decided to go to bristol. Was sitting in the car park as tesco's when a woman's trolley decided to go for a walkie into my front wing.:( I thought if I sat in the car it would be safe.

Damage is a small dent just above the wheel. She apologised and we just left it at that. I'll probably see if they can do a smart repair on it.

Car was only 2 hours old with 42 miles on the clock. Wonder what else is to come?lol

What a bummer :'(

Ten minutes and less than one mile into ownership of my Roomy, SWMBO opened the passenger door onto a low wall :'(

First day I had the VRS I opened the boot onto a low car park roof and chipped the tail.

The bad thing with this was it wasn't my fault. I'm hoping now that I done something nice for someone it'll come back round.:)

You must have amazing self control. I'm not sure I'd have been so calm about it all and may have had a Basil Fawlty style rant at her for five minutes. I've done it before in car parks when people have dinged my cars.

All anyone can ever do is apologise, although she might have offered you £60 for the smart repair

You are quite right. She did see if I wanted to take it any further but as it was a small dent I didn't bother. I hope that someone else would do the same for me if I ever faced this situation.

As for self control I'm not so sure.lol

Definately 2.

My wife's car had 9 miles on it, bought the day before and a parent who shouldn't be driving into the staff car park <school. > reversed into it destroying rear bumper and light ! Their insurance company wanted us to take it to Halifax <20 miles> told them we are taking back to dealer 1 mile away away to get repaired , not a good start ! When I go shopping I park so far away from the entrance my wife once said we might as well have got the bus! The trolley ding happened to me on a new car 1st day in 96! Hence why I park far away ,the nearer you are to the door of the shop people are in more of a hurry ,the spaces furthest away are either empty or staff park there so are going to be there most of the day.

May it be the first, the worst, and THE ONLY thing that happens to it, feel for you m8, but with any luck it is your only bad luck with the car
