I would expect the fabia to edge it slightly, but wouldn't be much in it. How much does the VXR weigh? Its 195bhp from memory.

what's a "stage 2" Fabia vRS? different turbo or just a custom/more aggressive map?

you might stay with him in a straightline , but show him a bend and he will literally drive away from you.

never owned/tried a stage 2 Fabia but used to own a Corsa VXR - they really are pretty rapid! Really great fun in the corners too :)

Fabia vRS stage 2 - approx 1300kg, 180bhp and 320lb/ft

Corsa VRS - approx 1200kg, 190bhp and 170lb/ft (190lb/ft with 15 second overboost)

Yes, depends on your definition and expectation of 'Stage 2' in my view. To me, that's at least a hybrid turbo and FMIC, so roughly 210-215bhp and 330ish lb/ft.

I reckon you might surprise him initially and mid-range, but in the end he'll pull away. Depends how long the runway is really and what speed you take it upto ;)

And yes, they do handle nicely out of the box.

if stage 2 is indeed a hybrid turbo etc then in a straight line from around 30 up to say 100 you'll be quicker, not walk away quicker but quicker

1 miss-shift either way and its allover emoticon-0105-wink.gif

It is in my book; logic being that you can't really push past normal remap power on the std KKK, so something a bit beefier is required to get beyond the 180s....

If stage 2 is just a remap and tweaks to 180bhp with average handling, then maybe 30-80mph you will keep up, then its bye bye.

If its hybrid, and average handling for hybrid set ups, then you should walk all over it IMHO :/

I raced one in my cupra and I was pulling away and it was the special edition white arctic one!

And the cupra was running 210bhp and 275ft/lb! And to be honest my little fab isn't that much slower than

The cupra!

Im running over 200bhp and my friend has a standard corsa vxr and im all over it, everywhere bottom end mid range and even more so top end vxr runs out of puff ataround 130mph even handling wise i **** it im on kw v1's vauxhalls cant handle fact!!

yeh stage 2 being hybrid etc, hmmmm a jabba visit might be on order

Nail & head right there. I'm yet to drive a Vauxhall in standard form that will go round a corner with some pace!

I've driven a couple of the years. The newer stuff not old skool. Can't say I agree. Sure the police force would disagree also.

Even my stage 1 Fabia is no slower than a Corsa VXR. I drive Astra's, Corsa's and Vectra's at work and they're all tripe, especially the corsa (its not a VXR what I drive however).

Even my Fabia can out handle these in standard form!!

jeeez vxr cant handle very well then as i personally thought a std vrs' handling was pretty poor [compared to previous cars ive owned/driven at least] seems alot better now tho with coilovers emoticon-0148-yes.gif

There's no doubt that the VXR's handling is levels above the vRS's handling in standard form. Nothing a RARB and a set of shocks and springs can't sort....

I have just sold a stage 2 230 bhp corsa vxr and it was very rapid.A lot of the corsas have been upgraded so if you come up agaist one it might be chipped.

Stage 3 is hybrid surely?

I thought this was the stage of power...

Stage 1 is generic remap? Approx 170 bhp 280 lb/ft

Stage 2 is custom remap with exhaust, air filter etc? Approx 180 bhp 310 lb/ft

Stage 3 is clutch, flywheel, bigger turbo, custom map to suit mods and turbo? Approx 215 bhp 340 lb/ft
