best colour for vrs

Featured Replies

looking to buy a vrs, cant make my mind what colour to have, always wanted a black one but its keeping it clean, the blue ones are slowly growing on me, would be easier to keep clean and i think they stand out more, what is the most popular colour ? it seems that black is the most popular colour and because of this the black ones seem dearer. also what should i be checking for on a 3year old pd diesel vrs thats done between 50&80k?

I think the pre FL octys look lovely in corrida red, plus a nice easy colour to keep clean and looks awesome polished :D I used to have a fabia vRS a few years ago that colour

Blue looks best, but then that's why there are so many race blue VRSs.

If it was me I'd be looking at white.

Black rules!!

Did they make a white pre FL? :S

Yep, candy white was available from a certain period onwards. Not sure what week exactly. IIRC a dealer told me it was a no cost option as the paint wasn't metallic. The same dealer had one as a demo shortly afterwards. Looked very nice indeed.

Black Magic is still my favourite but it's a nightmare to keep clean and shows every blemish. If I bought another vRS, I'd go for Corrida red.

Yeah I loved my corrida red fabia, only problem is the moment it got the slightest bit of dirt on it ended up looking really dull :(

my dilemma is this, ive seen a blue 07plate with74k for £8650 and also a black 57plate with 57k for £ 9650, I can afford the blue one no probs, i can just about stretch to the black one, which for me has the better mileage, but the blue colour is growing on me......so what do i do mileage or colour ?

Not exactly a bad predicament is it ;)

I'd go for the black one! Don't forget that the black one has a cambelt change due in 3k (+/- depending on who you ask and if it's a petrol) , might be able to get that done in the deal?

Either way you're getting a nice car.

Very nice indeed! :envy:

Blue obviously - it is the only colour unique to the vRS, so it's just that little bit more special IMHO

Would get white if I had a choice, although Race blue looks the fastest, but obviously in reality Black is!.................fastest that is.

As far as I'm aware, Sprint Yellow is unique to the vRS too

Anthracite Grey is the only option !!.. or maybe red. Not white or blue though.

It is unique to the vRS on the Octavia, at least.

do the cambelts need doing on the diesels at 60k ?, is it a big job to the the cambelt and is it expsensive, wheres is the best place dealer or indy ?

dont buy blue theyare everywhere now, and i wish i hadnt bought this colour. silver is the rare colour, although i love it in white

Well im on the brink of ordering an Anthracite Grey estate without so much as a test drive, so please choose another colour! ;)

I believe the Fabia SE VRS was race blue as well.

I meant Sprint Yellow is only available on the vRS on the Octavia. It's also available on normal Fabias.

Race blue is the unique to vRSs colour. So, slightly more exclusive (except for the "everyone has it" effect).

I see blue more than any of the other colours now!!

Grey is nice ;)

Mine is silver, which I wasn't overly fussed about to be honest, I'd of preferred a blue one, but now after owning it for a couple of weeks, it's really starting to grow on me, and like others have said, the blues ones are everywhere.

In my opinion, Silver makes the car more subtle out on the road, and you can just let the engine do the talking if someone needs bringing down a peg or two B)

Red.
