best colour for vrs

Featured Replies

Red.

Mine is 3 weeks old. Only problem is I don't have the time to drive it enough!

I got Candy White but it's never clean!

Wish Id gone for silver now. My Missus's car is silver and never seems to get dirty.

Race Blue - now close this thread lol

I see more black ones than blue, very rarely a red and cant remember the last time I saw a yellow or white. (pre FL cars that is)

The dealer told me yellows are worth less because a lot less people would have one. I like the yellows though.

Do reds suffer from that pinking you see on a lot of cars?

And yes black is a nightmare to keep clean, especially after the recent ash cloud rain weve had, but black will always be cool.

I think I would have to go more for specs/mileage/price/history of the car before colour, unless it was morning-after-a-dodgy-curry brown or something.

I had the choice of a race blue or black the blue was 1 plate younger, lesser specced, higher mileage and more expensive than the black. The black one won

Race Blue

You all say that "everyone has blue" - I hardly see any vRS's in South Wales.

I've seen a mixture of all colours, though I'm yet to see a Sprint Yellow.

Though, I think I might have a Yellow one next :D

:giggle: :giggle: Just trying to get a mental picture of a shiny VRS in that colour............ :giggle: :giggle:

2 or 3 weeks ago I saw a BMW 1 series which had that colour, it was god awful. Some car colours are harking back to the days of British Leyland Brown and Beige. Yuck

Mine is Corrida Red and it looks awesome, my own opinion is white and yellow and black show up the muck more easily and everyone seems to be going for race blue. Why do you think ferrari's and porsche's always seem to go for the reds and are the better sellers in those colours than the other colours they produce !!!!!! :p

A Scaglietti in blue is acceptable though ;)

I want a red F40 :p

I would give vital parts of my anatomy to own a red F40! :giggle:

I agree, have ordered my blue vrs from Newport and have not seen any blue cars locally. First skoda arriving around 19 June, v excited as been driving people carrier for 4 years! racing blue is 'the' colour IMHO

I got a red one :)

Havnt seen any v2s around in red.. always good to be different hehe

I am biased as just got my FL race blue VRS couple last month and loving it and really looks good next to all the black and grey cars about (had 3 black / silver / grey cars so wanted something with colour), white looks good but looks a bit too close to a taxi for my liking.

silver would blend in well and not show the dirt as much.

White is cool but shows up everything, plus side is the comic value when people think your a cop car and slow down. Plus if your making progress they tend to move out of your way rather quickly.

Blue always looks good as does red it suits the FL.

Best idea though pick a colour you like!

Ha that deserves a chuckle, Good job her car isn't like her eh? dirty dirty.

Same ere mate, I've got a Candy White, bugger to keep clean!

Having had both a black VRS MK1 and a Blue Mk2 when I ordered my new FL (which I'm still waiting for) I went back to black. Mainly because I feel the FL looks good in black were as the original MK2 frontend didn’t suit black.

When I first got the MK1 in black I had every Tom, D ick and Harry approaching me for a chat about the car, it just really stood out, I've had 1 person in 4 years approach me to look at my Blue VRS.....

Cleaning for obvious reasons the black shows dust quicker than the blue so needs more tlc and I do believe the Blue is the best pre FL colour. The GF has a white A3 convertible and that's a mare to keep clean with bug splats, tar and general muck coming off the road requiring a pre treatment to break down the bugs and tar before polishing to get the paint back to a good condition/colour.
