My other ride!

Featured Replies

My other ride is a CB600f Hornet 2003. Its damn quick, makes my fabia seem like a snail lol. Anybody else with bikes on here? This maybe posted in the wrong section so feel free to tell me off for it lol. ;)

Loads of bikers on here, including myself.

Sadly there are also lots of the anti bike doom and gloom merchants on here too.

Car only drivers have no idea of what they miss out on and how bikes give you a buzz that cars, regardless of what it is, never could.

Just noticed your from the place that god made for motorcycling................you jammy #*'

I'm loved my custom chopper  until some little barsteward nicked it :( :'(

Need to get another one soon...........when i can afford it and SWMBO aint lookin

Not even silly cars like atoms, caterhams or ultima's?

Its always been a dark side interest on bikes for me but I cant get over the fact that one mistake can be the last, or even one idiot driver clipping you at high speed can be your last. I have full respect to bikers as I would never be brave (or silly) enough to do that

I suppose if you live in the country side with 0 cars may be much more tempting.

Edit: pics!! :D

I`m really fancying doing my bike test this year.

I'm into bikes as well.

re. the Caterhams etc, they will give you more of a buzz in certain ways, but you still can't lean them over :) Having a perfect run through all 37 hairpins at Kyffhauser in the Harz is something that is like a legal (ish) high. You can't explain it to someone who does not ride, that said I would still love a Caterham or similar and am hoping to get something like that if we don't get arse raped by the CONLIBS :)

Awesome, some good stories there. This is the land of the bike round ere, can be lethal though. I.e bloody tractors pullin outta fields. Thats a brown pants moment fo sure. I am having to sell the bike now because i cant afford to run that and my furby. See catchin onto the lingo now. Still I cant see how a furby is related to a fabia but i love it. Could someone reveal all?

This is one of my favourite bits of the Harz :)

Awesome on a bike, and would be equally awesome in the right car. We had a guy go down there this year, a combination of factors, but he was ok in the end and luckily managed to ride back.

yh im a biker worked my way up from the hairdryer to a 125 cc hyosung gt and a 250 gtr then ive now moved onto a nice tourer a suzuki V-Strom 650gt and now im looking at a sports tourer like a triumph sprint, or tiger and opinions or recomendations or advice welcome!

and yeh i love bikes so much more of a buzz than a car plus i feel a better driver for being a biker due to better awareness ect B)

Yep, 2 wheels is loads of fun. I've got an R6 and last month I did my 1st track day  only trouble is that they are slightly addictive, 2nd one is next weekend :D

Ahh wicked, thats one thing I missed out on. Trackdays, safest best way to go fast on 2 wheels or 4 infact. Maybe next time/bike etc. Hmph :smirk:

BMW R1150GS here.I cannot imagine ever letting it go.The perfect bike when you're 6'7".

i got rid of my ninja 636 the other year miss it so much! love bikes but with a daughter and another baby on the way means no toys for me :D

I ride a ZZR600 nice comfy for long rides great sports tourer 100bhp twin cam 16valve lil monster throwing the back wheel round id recommend that :D but there again the ZX9-R has been reclassed as a sports tourer and its one hell of a machine for the prices today and insurance dropped as sports tourer now :D

This *was* my other ride... ...the wife made me sell it :(

Wow thats a sweet clean lookin bike ya got there. I'm so gonna miss mine when its gone. This post has attracted some attention 200+ views, yippeee

Another biker here too. Me and SWMBO are Scotland on the bikes next week (she rides too)... Errr you know what I mean.

Hopefully come autumn I'll get the VRS up there for a damned good thrashing....,mmm I mean a spot of gentle and sensible touring.

Nice to have the best of both worlds isn't it.

Yep, had a mid-life crisis last year and did a DAS course before my 40th! I'm now tatting about on a Jap import ZZR400. Loving it, but now want a slightly bigger bike! A nice ZZR600 would do fine, just gotta save up some money! :'( Love the look and sound of a Ducati 748, but I gather they aren't that comfortable for a fat 40 year old to ride! haha. If I had a spare 6 grand I'd have a Triumph Street Triple R!

Here's one of the Tigger from a run out to Llanberis a while ago.

Krikey, two nice bits of machinery.

Why thank you :) It's just a real shame that I can't ever borrow his bike as my feet are about 3 inches from the floor :D
