Hi, I have a dilemma that perhaps you could give me your opinion on, when i order my fabia vrs do i go for pearl or metallic paint? i can't decide, the one i test drove had the pearl finish and that was nice, oh decisions. :rubchin:

Depends on if you want black or silver. The black is a pearl finish & the silver is a metallic finish.

A matter of personal preference really..

I wanted to go for Yellow to be that little bit different, but all my friends, family, collegues, etc etc talked me out of it. I thought that silver was a bit too year 2000, and is out of date now. Black will never really go out of fashion, and looks the part. Bugger to keep clean at this time of year though. I find myself cleaning it, going out for a 5 min run, swerving round any muddy / wet patches of road - and it still gets mingin!!

cheers guys, think I'll stick with black which was my first choice even though I have first hand experience at how much of a bugger it is to keep clean, my current car is black and it's a soft top so i cant even be lazy and sit through a car wash but black does looks stunning when its all clean and polished

Find a mate with a spray shop, Tricolour Silver pearlesent is quite nice IMO

If you want metallic make it perfectly clear to the dealer that you are not willing to pay extra for it when there's only a limited choice of colours.

Thats just your opinion though isn't it, and we all know about those! There is a good few owners of yellow Octy's and Furbies on here, so obviously not everyone shares your views. Thank god for that too!

Ideally its pearlesent as its more expensive than metallic (something i learnt whilst playing Need for Speed Underground 2 [unless its incorrect lol])

But SILVER all the way. Sells better
