Article Advice - Slide out tray in the Fabia...

Featured Replies

...If anyones had a go at this article, I need some advice please, or Ivan, did you write it, you might know? :)

I've just collected the slide-out tray from the dealer, had a look - but no rubber insert.

I know in the article it says its a seperate part, but when I ordered it giving the 6Y0 858 332 47H part number, I told them it was a 2-parter. In the article both parts are listed as the same part number - is this correct? They seemed to think it was a single part at the dealer.

I'm wondering if they have made only given me 1 of 2 parts / if its missing from the box / if the part number for the insert is wrong?

Any ideas?

I can still go ahead and fit the slidey-out tray just now, and fit the rubber insert later. Failing that, I might modify the standard rubber insert that I'm taking out to fit the slide out tray.

Looks like the rubber mat is a separate part "rubber packing" 6Y0 857 938 B available in several colours. :(

Okay, thanks for that. Shouldn't really be a big problem I will try cutting the existing mat to the right size, if that fails I'll go order the rubber insert...wonder if they do a 'Skoda Green'.

Suspect the rubber will come in either beige or black, the two fabia dash colours?

Don't forget charcoal ;)

I just cut down the rubber mat that was in my existing cubby hole.

Fits like a glove!

Rossm, when I bought mine I specified both parts when I ordered it. The mat was a few pounds extra.
