New Mk2 Fabia VRS HAS ARRIVED TODAY!

Featured Replies

Yea exactly, they make a fast diesel, even get good write ups from top gear ect and then decide to go for a 1.4 turbo supercharged engine for mk2.

Dont know what they are thinking, after getting a reputation for building an economical warm/fast hatch they blow it :(

I dont think they have blown the reputation at all. Ive had both diesel and petrol and I think its a step in the right direction. SEAT are selling more petrol FRs than the diesel counterpart at the moment, people loving the DSG I think.

Its a group platform and spec though which I think is the limiting factor with the GTi, Cupra and vRS sharing all the same mechanicals. I think VW also know that with the sucess of the MK1 vRS as a diesel if they were to put one in it the sales figures of the other cars would drop. It might well come yet who knows, im impressed with the 2.0 FR, and with a 170 CR in it that would be a weapon.
