Pretty horrible looking thing....

colour bit to much for me guess it could grow on ppl

Makes me prefer the mk1 even more seeing the side by side shots. The mk2 just looks stupid with the exposed wipers and washer jets, and the roof line is so high!

The mk1 still holds its own against the newbie B)

Not as long, a wee bit higher and it looks a lot fatter add to that the wheels it comes with, I assume they are stock, look to small for the car. I was worried what the new Fabia would look like in VRS spec, which ever way you sliced it the Mk2 Fabia was going to need some serious body work to make it look even remotely half decent in VRS spec and boy did they miss the mark. Horrible car, really horrible.

All that comes to mind is, Suzuki Swift.

Yeah..I agree.

I dont like black grill surrounds either ;)

looks nice ill be goin for a drive and comparing

To me the wheels look like halfords bolt on multispokes and ride height looks like a bus

As I said on the other thread, I was never keen on the front end of the MkII, however it is slowly growing on me, especially the face-lifted versions. It's nice to see pics of the Mk1 and Mk2 vRS side by side.

I have never noticed the wipers and washers, until someone pointed them out above, also the way the (larger) rear lights show in the side view.

I think the new VRS looks the best in Green B) (I still want to see one myself). However to match the Black wheels I think a Black or Glossy Carbon fibre wrap roof would make it even better.

I would like the 7 speed DSG but the rest of the car is just pants. It's bog ugly, looks like a Renault designed by someone who has lost the will to live. I also bet it never comes close the quoted extra urban MPG. Low to mid 30's I would say. The stance is wrong, the grill and lights are really ugly, and with a turbo and super charger to go wrong, is a big bill waiting to happen.

I think I will be driving my MK1 SE into the ground.

Its a better car in ALL respects.

Progress!!

Hear Hear.I agree 100%

Whichever way you look at it, it's a completely different car to the MK 1. Personally, I don't think it's for me, but I think it may grow on me. I certainly won't be buying one without a diesel option though!

EDIT: Have now seen the pictures, I really like that colour. Definitely a good choice. I would say the car is too narrow and too high for my liking, but it does like quite nice. For me, the car does not have an aggressive enough front end.

i hate to say but people have been saying it will grow but at first i thought dosent look bad, but now i think it looks quite ugly more of a match box toy i think the more i see it the more i dont like it, im sure its a great car to drive, i'm just on about the look.

It's being compared to the MK1 vRS and there's complaints about ride hight?!? Pmsl

Matt

i really like it. i'm yet to see what a real person thinks of it to drive and i really need to book a test drive. i think it looks lovely, but then again i really like the roomster.

All that comes to mind is, Suzuki Swift.

It is similar but Swifts have brilliant handling. My parents recently bought a 1.5 and yes it's not the fastest thing in the world but handling wise it runs rings round my vRS. Twice the fun at half the speed which I never thought I'd say. If the Swift had more power then the vRS would be gone tomorrow. This new vRS maybe the answer.

Oh and I like the green.

Your mk1 looks lovely by the way, as for the mk2, i think it looks more like a fabia with 2 vRS badges and different wheels, it does not look a whole lot different to the standard one, and the standard one is aweful as well

the black wheels are an option

Yeah..I agree.

I agree, dont like the black grill myself

Not for me taa muchly.. I'll stick with me mk1 (like I can even afford a new car atm).

Really don't like the colour.. and that's saying something cuz greens my favorite colour on anything!

I'm waiting to see a Fabia vRS mk2 Combi in silver.. I think that'll be the pick of the bunch.

Anyone else think the wheels look odd with the silver round the edge.. kinda like a really cheap face only refurb that's had to much stretch put on the tyres and has reviled the original colour?

On a slight side note... how comes the plate doesn't have a GB blue end on it? Thought that was a legal requirement now?

Am I gonna have to go look for specs or does anyone else know off hand?

- Engine size and fuel

- BHP

- Standard spec, what toys does this thing come with that the Mk1 didn't

- Finish, we talking the two tone fabric like the Mk1 or is it leather as standard now

- Price
