Don't do it

You can't just say 'don't do it' without saying why? Or is it a secret? ;)

Q.

  • Author

yeah come on why?

:D

Its a secret :p

Paul, you have PM

  • Author

so have you!

Thats a bit 'cloak and dagger', can't we all hear why?;)

Probably something to do with a hybrid turbo and a trip to Jabba on Saturday;) :D

I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you.

And due to my aversion to playing mummies and daddies with Mr Big from the showers, its not something I'm prepared to do ;)

:D

lets just say my eyes have been opened to other mfr's of turbos that may run a little less close to the "edge"

Fine! Be like that! :(

Grmble, grmble, bloody skoda drivers, grmble... ;)

Q.

Quinten,

My guess is three letters:

I

H

I

(Smack! Bang! Posto Numero Cinquecento!)

So now the bit under your avatar can be changed! :D

How about "RS wannabe" ? :D :D

Jon,

wasn't this Saturday your appointment with Jabba?

So what's the crack then?

PS. congrats Mattijs on hitting the 500's... Now you can be a supporter, even though I'm paying for the priviledge :p

No, you're paying for the sticker... :)

But now that you mention it, I found a new way of being appreciative ;)

LOL!

Rob: Ahhhh! Good spot! Still don't know what IHI stands for, but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough ;)

Mattijs: LOL. All you need now is some graphics on the side of the car ;)

Yea if I had known better I wouldn't have had the K04 turbo fitted to my RS. Basically fitting the K04 to the RS won't give you any power gains (marginal). You are better off just having a remap done. The K04 or KKK turbo does make a difference to early VW engines (can't remember which). But for our engines this isn't the case, the only difference between the K04 and the turbo on the RS is a bigger turbine. Which generates more heat and only a little improvement in bhp.

In hindsight I would have gone to Jabba and given them my hard earned cash and had the 280/300bhp conversion done. As it stands I will have to live with what I have now or spend some more money to get what I really want.

As it stands my RS with all its mods is only pushing out 230bhp. Which most of you guys are getting from just a remap.
