I assume you mean MPG

Is that a 105 BHP 1.9?

The best I have seen on a long run in my PD140 DSG is 54MPG, and thats a trip computer figure. I did manage more than 500 miles from a tank once, and it took 53 litres to fill the superb up.

The trip computer is very optomistic, so if the figure was displayed on that you need to subtract about 5 or 6 mpg.

My average on long trips (more than 500 km) is 0,48 L/10Km with my 140PD. This is the actual measure; filled it up on arrival!

My consumption is similar to "Ultimo". My computer is metric and best consumption for highway travel is 4.8 litres to 100km. Not exactly sure how that translates to gallons and miles but I KNOW it's very good.

That's 58.85 miles per Imperial Gallon. :)

 Aye yes mpg not mph,105bhp 1.9s it's the more frugal of all the engines the engine is definatley getting better with each mile I travel,I agree that a couple of miles should be taken off though so I reckon its still easily 60mpg.

yes sorry MPG!

I've had a best of 59.6mpg on a trip out of my 170 manual if i compare the trip comparison to a fill to fill one i find there is about 3-4mpg difference not the 5 or 6 some people have found

Speed is all important of course i have just got back from a 2000 mile trip in France even fully loaded up on the 110kph roads i was getting 53-54mpg indicated but when you get on the 130kph roads the trip dropped to 46-47mpg. I think over the holiday the actual average we got was 46mpg actual having to rush for the tunnel didnt help neither did heavy traffic in places so the last day saw an 8 hour drive with just a brief stop for fuel with the cruise set to French motorway speeds ie 136kph indicated (130 gps actual) that did little for economy
