Looks great, but we seem to have lost the "24 hours posts" option! It makes keeping upto date with the latest posts so much easier. Can we get it back?? :)

The 24hrs search is still here. If you look below your breadcrumb (where am I) link trail you'll see a dark blue navigation bar, it's on that along with search, new posts, User CP etc.

Or it should be.

See the quick screen grab, apologies about the "liscense" info, evalulating a half dozen grab programs.

I like it, and have found it an easy transition! Good job

Ok..You lot 29...Mr bloody awkward who's obviously a total plant pot then...1

If it gives you more time Col., then that's got to be a +.

No more changes though please. Think this is the 3rd since last March and it's doin' me 'ed in.

Said this else where before I found this thread, but is ther any cahnce of restoring the feature that shows the 10 most recently altered threads on the front page? I used this feature a lot and found Briskoda to be much better after it was added. I will miss it sourly. The 24hr and new post features are to messy to substitute.

Points noted...

Can't please everyone all of the time...but I try. There maybe a way of doing it but it's not in the short(1 month) plan...because it would take alot of thought which clouds other topics in progress.

The 24hr search result is very similar, in fact it's the same query bar one parameter.

Nice work Colin, looks very clean. Anything that reduces your workload has got to be good, I'm sure it's not always realised by all and sundry (including myself) that there is a hell of a lot of work that you and the moderators put in to keep the site up to date and looking fresh. Rest assured it is appreciated, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be lost without their daily Briskoda 'fix'.

Absoloutely spot on.

I know Colin in particular puts a lot of work into the site (and the mods too before you all start :P ). He's often on msn in the silly hours of the night / morning whilst tweaking & testing.

It would be nice if people would take that into consideration before complaining that x or y feature has disappeared / been moved.

Yes , well done Colin ...........I have no complaints , in fact I have nothing but admiration for all the hard work that you (and others) put into keeping this site going .............

If these changes make life easier for you , then good for you .................... :D

As the old saying goes " You can't please all of the people all of the time ".................and enjoy a whiskey and a roll up ................. :D

Very nice, Colin.

Well William and I will consider our hands smacked then ey.

Was only making an observation even if it does go somewhat against the grain.

Don't have to agree with everyone all the time, just voicing my concerns/opinions.

I do appreciate how much time Col D spends working on this site.

Like the new forum look myself. :D

However for the benefit of folk who liked the old way - would it be possible to manually add a shortcut to Favourites that reproduced the old search. If so, what URL would it be?

I don't claim to understand much about how searches work - but for instance I know (from using other vbulletin forums) that if I have a shortcut http://www.briskoda.net/forums/search.php?&do=getdaily&days=2 then I can see 48 Hrs worth of posts rather than the default 24 hrs, and I've experimented with adding this to Favourites in my browser - seems to work OK...

Would it be possible to show us the URL you'd need to reproduce the "10 most recent" feature? That way people could manually add it to their favourites and use that as a "way in" to the forum with the old search?

Colin,

Don't know if this is of any use to you but it's the screen grab software I use
