The £10 camera

Featured Replies

Quick test of my new camera. Ok ok so I need to adjust the mount a little but it's not bad for £10! :D

Where was it mounted? Is it the key fob camera thing? I just got one too but not trialled it properly yet.

Not the key fob one, but I guess it does the same thing. This one is in an upright case with some useful mounts. I cable tied it to the grill under the number plate. I get the mount sorted out I'll stick some photos up.

Was that an ebay special?

I have some of the key fob ones and they're great for taping to grilles and bumpers etc, only down side is you can't see the image that's being produced until you've tested it, and then you have to restick it!

I suppose if you had a netbook, you could put it in webcam mode, and tweak it live.

This one clips into a mount which is attached to the car. I can take the camera off and put it back on without moving the mount. I'll sort some photos out when I get it attched right. Although that will probably be next weekend now.

That footage looks the same as one of the mini cams i use. Ive ended up buying 2 due to the batery life being a bit short.

They are very good for there size and price. Can mount them anywhere (I attach mine to my helmet) and quality and sound are acceptable.

Only problem is I found the battery only does about 60-80mins, despite constant recharging through the day. They also munch card space and need a quickish card.

tbh i found my old LG viewty is better quality, uses less memory card space and will do all day on a full charge :) Not quite so easy to mount tho!

Ahh the good ol' MD80...

I have one that i keep meaning to attach the mounts to the car but never get round to it.. might make an effort for the WSM meet/drive emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Had a certain 'Rendezvous' quality to it that film :D

Good bits of kit really - you can't fault them for the price.
