There may be others like me who would like a replacement umbrella and their dealer, like mine, will not accept that it was "missing" on delivery, (see previous thread)

(Although I think I read somewhere that this is no longer a standard issue.).

Lidl have an automatic umbrella which looks as if it would fit . It is available on Thursday 15th Nov.and costs £3.99.

It may be not as good as the Skoda one but at about a tenth of the price, it is worth a try. And bear in mind that , again like me, you will probably never use it.

The umbrella I got, with Logo on it, made a cheap impression.

I bought the real thing for £35 and am not that impressed, so a good idea to go for the Lidl one (as long as you remember to dry it and not leave it in the door wet).

Don't get your hopes up too much - the photo of the Lidl umbrella shows it has a hooked handle, I dont think that will fit in the door pocket :(

Our Asda is doing a selection of brollies at the moment; one of which looks ideal for the Superb. I keep meaning to pick one up. It's the compact automatic type, black, with a straight handle, and was £2.99 iirc. Should do the job OK.

M&S had some a short while ago, black fully collapsable, perfect fit in door, bought three more they also fit nicely in the door pockets. I had a Skoda one two years ago when they were still standard.

Not only was my Superb delivered with the brolly installed, I also received a Skoda ballpoint pen - very good quality and greatly appreciated. Nice touch Skoda.

Snap - so did I - the pen sits very nicely in the pen holder in the glovebox - my Skoda umbrella stays in the Driver's door pocket!

I bought the "official" brolly off ebay for £33 I think. Seems a lot for an umbrella, but hey just spend £25K on a car.. so an extra £33 isn't going to break the bank.

Seems an okay umbrella, although the handle is too small to hold comfortably for longer than about 15 minutes. Perfect for my walk into work though.

Sadly the umbrella is now a cost extra. The bean counters obviously took that when they replaced the decent quality carpet my first Superb had with the outhouse lino they use now.
