John(flake)9boy should be done for trade descriptions though! :giggle:

When I saw the 'trade descriptions' part I thought you were referring to the generous portions of the starter that you had but I'm not too sure now. B)

If I had known that the snow/icy conditions were only bad within half a mile of home then I might even have ventured out in the vRS. :p

Anyone lose a wallet while we were there? One was found after a few people had left and they wondered if it was one of our party - it could have been as there wasn't any money in it.

Thanks Will for organising this afternoon. I can't remember I spoke you though.

It was great to finally meet Simbo, and JB was a nice surprise. :D

If another meet is organised there or somewhere that's not too far, I'll come again.

Nice to see you all

Sorry I looked a bit underpar

Too much booze on Saturday night. I will never learn!!

One highlight though....Will asking for a cup of tea at the bar!!! :giggle:

Did anyone take any pics yesterday? It was a shame the car park was small so we could not have parked all Skodas in a row.

These are the only 2 I took.

The brand new Fabias in Green look great. B) If I buy one, It'll be in that colour.

Here's one I took showing the shiny green vRS's and the matt black one with the (in progress) wiper delete mod, together with the (much talked about) opaque window addition....

I was referring to the " boy" part of your moniker, a bit like boyzone

Is it me or are those two vRSs a different shade of green....................or is it just a poor picture? ;)

And I didn't realise you could buy a Fabia with optional grab handles above the tail lights - presumably to assist pulling it out of the snow :giggle:

:giggle: Poor picture although Chris`s wife's car was filthy

Such a cruel remark - pick on the new boy eh? :wonder:

I bet you thought I'd borrowed Simbo's camera phone to take that picture didn't you Bryan and you can stop egging him on as well bluvrs2. :p

The Fabia's were the same colour, but the nearest one (Chris's) was dirty. It may also be that John was using his camera phone.

Unfortunately Johns pic emphasises my small dent, which I'm not sure how I got. My pics with the car's rear end normally don't show it.

The melting snow on Thus night or Fri morning caused the rear wiper to snap off. I will either replace it with an OEM one or a flat aero one. Some people pay extra for smoked rear windows. The condensation does it for free for me. :p

South Yorkshire would be good

Crap pub, crap parking, lousy seating, ok (ish) company! :giggle:

See y'all next time!!

May I suggest the Hitching Post, Bradford one Saturday/Sunday afternoon for the next one?? >> location <<

Big car park, loads of seating, great pub grub & carvery... & my fave bit - go LARGE for a pound!!! :smirk:

I would be up for this

No Simbo, it is a soulless pub full of plebs, and crap beer, the Acorn at Eldwick has reopened, much better prospect

South Yorkshire would be good

Suggest one then Brimma , got to have decent ale though

As john99boy hasn't answered then I'll reply on his behalf. :giggle:

Any from this link would keep Silver Top happy but here's a couple of suggestions that might suffice location wise - Dodworth Valley or Sir Jack.

I'm sure they could even muster up a decent cup of tea for Will?

A bit too corporate :S

I vote to resurrect 'The Malthouse' on a Saturday or Sunday Lunch

The best pub food.......... and a nice big car park at the back!!!

A bit too corporate :S

There's nowt wrong with a bit of spit and sawdust :|

We discovered Crown Carveries while in the Lake District on the banks of Windermere, and it's absolutely awesome VFM

Malthouse is a good shout though

WHO ATE ALL THE PIES????????????

Nice to see you all and meet new faces.............sorry had to leave early though, rough day shopping in Leeds, I forgot how much I hated it..Arghhh!! just waiting for the bank statement now.

Simbo,John999  Life is strange, thanks for your support B)

A bit too corporate :S

Okay then - how about Tankersley Manor which is more in keeping with your gastro expectations? Plus a McD's locally for Pie Man. :smirk:

That looks even more corporate , don't want to have to wear a tie, I haven't got one! Sheffield, is a good idea and the Fat Cat has rave reviews, and if on a Sunday, the brewery car park next door has 48 spaces

You complained that the Sun Inn was small - wait 'til you see the Fat Cat! In fact there's not enough space to swing a thin cat, let alone a fat one.

Tankersley Manor isn't at all hoity toity even though the website may lead you to thinking that it is.
