Blue Headlights

Featured Replies

Anyone seen these 'New' H7 headlight lightbulbs that powerbulbs have for sale? http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=25

They claim they're legal in the EU. Any truth in this or is it complete *******s (and illegal).

Like everyone else I'm looking for the Xenon blue/white light without the Xenon price tag. Do you reckon these will suit the bill?

The blue vision range despite having a blue coating on them actually produce a pure white light  (just what I was looking for when i changed my sidelights).

If you are thinking of buying from power bulbs then seriously consider joining freedom before you order them and you get 15% off (details in the Freedom Discounts & Promotions sub forum).

Just signed up for freedom, how long does it take to change my group?

Give ColinD a PM and explain your situation, as it can take a whilst to turn 'green'.

£25 PER BULB though? read it carefully, it doesn't say anything about a pair!

One box has two bulbs.

The olds didn't so I'd be careful with that personally.

The listing only states "bulb" tho, not bulbs, bet its for one, normal ebay trick

I need some decent blubs for my motor bike ................

it states they are 4000k which will be yellow in colour (standard light colour) you need 5000k for a pure white light, i bought these last week and they are great!!!

as wel as H3's and LED sidelight which i already had :) the sidelights match the dipped beam perfectly. GREAT purchase :)

altho i see the first post mentions the legality of the bulbs, are my bulbs not legal? and if not why??

thanks, jordan

Sod it, I've gone for these: http://cgi.ebay.co.u...IT#ht_567wt_905

Eh? why would you willingly pay £13 more for the same thing?

Not sure where you got that info from but it's not correct.

4,300K is what is used for OE xenon bulbs as it is the brightest whitest colour you can get.

EDIT: should read the small print!

Where is it £13 cheaper? That set comes with two bulbs (and a couple of LED's).

Scrub that I noticed the ebay ones were for a pair

yup 4300k is white

Pretty sure they're 6,000k, so 4,300 should be nice and white I guess. Sidelights are Philips 'Blue vision' for reference.

They mention BULB'S not BULB.

If plod decides to pull me over then...well I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Will report back with pics as soon as they arrive.

You'll not get pulled as they don't shine any blue light when on. I used to have them in my IS200 and CTR in the past and they are somewhere between normal halogen colour and xenon colour.... They looked slightly more like xenons on the CTR as it had projector lenses rather than reflector headlights.

Cheers

Dave.

they will be a yellow colour, will look like every other car bulb i would think.

I got 5000k, they're still fairly blue. 4300k is White

Remember any coating on a halogen light bulb will produce less light than a clear one. The bluer the coating (like those Diamond visions) the less light you will get.

i got 5k but they are just pure white :)

Right heres the pics:

Fabia 1.2 with Osram Nightbreakers

So basically thier crap, not white at all. Can't tell the difference between them and the nightbreakers and the nightbreakers light up the road MUCH MUCH better.

Waste of money in my opinion.
