fish tanks are a different kettle of fish. I would have thought the additives in the coolant would stop or atleast slow any possible build up of krud.

They look good but I would be worried about them breaking or cracking, atleast if you split a rubber hose you can seal it with emergancy type tape.

Very true on the additives front, rubber hoses won't give you a puncture when they break either.

The website says they are borisilicate which wikapedia recons is used for test tubes and is branded for domestic use in the UK as Pyrex!

Apparently it is also used in Aquarium heaters and bongs.

TBH, have a look at the inside of your coolant expansion tank for an idea of how they might look in a couple of years.
