Interesting that there doesn't seem to be too much brand loyalty in our previous cars. I think i've changed manufacturer every time i've bought another car, and only gone back to the same model once (BMW 3 series).

Maybe there should be a new thread - What car do you intend to get next after your Octavia?

The only brand i stayed loyal to was Subaru, 3 in a row, each better than the last, but there is no way i would buy anything Impreza Bugeye onwards, just way to ugly. So the vrs was bought as a stop gap.

Series 2 Escort RS turbo (H plate)

Citroen Saxo VTS (new)

Caterham 7 (1.8 Kseries SV)

Skoda vRS.

D reg Peugeot 205 1.1 owned for 3 months

L reg Clio 'Oasis' 1.2 owned for 9 months

Then i had 1 years NCD

Ford Fiesta Zetec S 02' reg 1.6 (loved this car to bits, owned it 6 years and didn't consider selling it at all)

Ford Racing Puma No 406 of 500 made - amazing car only sold it due to buying my first house and didn't consider parking (or lack of) on a poxy new build estate

Ford Fiesta Zetec S 51' reg 1.6 (not as fun as the first, i'd obviously moved on)

Mk3 Mondeo 2.0 TDDI 'Y' reg - on eBay at the mo

Mk1 Octavia vRS '02 reg - eBay bargain, so i thought why not.

I've always been a Ford man at heart though, just thought i'd dabble with VAG reliability and build quality for a while. I'm certainly enjoying the change though.

Some of you have had awesome cars...... Ford Escort Mexico (i will own one of these when i have a house with a garage), Sapphire Cosworth.. also on my wish list.

worth every penny mate, was gutted to let it go. even though the vrs is a turbo it didnt pick up nearly as quick as the quattro. that thing was like getting a kick up the arse everytime you booted it, and the grip that quattro system gives is unbelievable.

Was the Forester an sti version?

1997 JDM S/TB Manual. About 240 bhp, after various mods, but also had sti suspension, which made it handle superbly. The sti version was out of my price bracket. :'(

I had some better pics than this, but seem to have lost them. I like the VRS, but for a great all round family car with amazing performance and modability this was the best.

well im 22 and my first car was a 1994 vauxhall corsa 1.2 with 4 gears haha. then i bought a 1998 Honda civic EJ9 1.4 16 valve. this thing was prety nippy for what it was. Next was my 1999 Subaru Impreza (Uk turbo) absolutely loved this car and wish i'd never sold it, unfortunately it was costing me an arm and a leg to run. And now i have my 2005 Octavia vRS
