Yes, I just switched from an Audi A4 2009 and it had the engine mounted longitudinal. The a3 is transverse.

Interestingly, the car came with a boot spoiler as standard (I did not specify it) and also the daytime running lights next to the fog lights, which I thought were only on the new estate.

The Superb 3.6 V6 4x4 gets the boot lip spoiler as standard.

DRL's will be a legal requirement on all new cars from early next year

hi

I want a 3.6 ! but have to make do with a 2.0 cr )-:

just to carry on about this and that

I looked into the 3.6 v6 engine in the Superb and its a very very narrow V6 in fact its almost a straight as the v is at 10.5 degrees compared to the audi 3.0 which is a 90 deg v 6 hence the reason its in a transverse configiuration and used in the passat golf and A3 and probably the reason we will not see a V6 diesel in the superb well at least not a Audi/vw v6 anyway

so what about the 5 cylinder from the Toureg then ? 240HP PLEASE

lol

True. I was about to say this. Virtually all cars have had DRLs fitted since the beginning of this year - Superb SE and Elegance aren't special in this respect (special in many others though lol).

The 4x4 won't be THAT much better in snow. Pulling away, it'll have less wheel spin, but with regards to stopping (the most important bit to avoid a collision) you'll have the same problems as anyone else if you don't have winter tyres. Recently fitted Mud 'n' Snow tyres on my 4-year old 1.2 Fabia and they're brilliant.

Have a look at what Honest John says.

The 3.6 V6 is a damn nice car though. I'd LOVE to have one, but I'm still trying to justify to my employer why I want a 1.8 tsi SE (preferably with 4x4) as a company car next year. :giggle:
