Yeti spotting - result!

Featured Replies

I am thinking of taking our Yeti to the September CC meet, it will have to negotiate the track though, a long way to go for just watching!

Not sure yet but maybe next time at CC my Jana may take to the track to put down some paw prints and have a play

Apologies. My Jana was spotted at Castle Combe.

It was, a black Yeti at Castle Combe, is that not a spot of a Yeti?

I spotted another about half one today, M56 heading towards Manchester, towing a caravan ****VET on the registration.

Nah, Freshacre's sold his :giggle:

No fewer than 3 Yeti(s) in the paddock area at the Aintree sprint on Saturday. Mine was one (as below - on a call), one of the scrutineers had just bought the second one (long term L/Rover owner/instructor having been so impressed with my Yeti over the last couple of years), but I've no idea whose the third one was.

And amazingly a fourth went past on Melling Road whilst the event was underway.

Good taste round there obviously!

You could always try the Aintree Track Day on 25th May. Bookings open on Thursday, see link below. Sessions, not open pit lane, so you can choose which group to mix with!

There will be an aqua blue Yeti travelling from Kent up to Yorkshire tomorrow and spending till Saturday in Thornton-Le-Dale.

Would be a nice place to visit, esp with the bike, but instead on a mercy taxi mission for my Aunt. Any recommendations in the area? Eat, visit?

So any body spotting give a wave!

I drove round to me parents in South Bham yesterday and there was a lovely silver SM parked on one of the drives on their hill.

I have a feeling I may have just caught the end of a fello-Yeti-wave yesterday on Wetherby Road in Harrogate.

The car was a Muscovado with reg plate ending in "ASK" I think.

Anyway, if it was anyone on here I'll keep my eyes peeled this morning!

Followed a pretty blue one from Roughton to Cromer on the A140 this morning.

Did a road trip for work yesterday which took in the delights of Bristol Airport, then over the Severn Bridge to Cardiff Airport, before back across the river and up the M5 again.

Saw...

  • a white Yeti driving rather sedately on the M5 north, being overtaken by HGVs.
  • senility strikes again - there was one that followed me for a couple of miles towards Cardiff airport, but turned off just before a big Tescos. Was also behind a van driver who didn't seem to understand the concept of giving way to the right on an island, and almost crashed into me as I went around it.

Still hardly ever see Yetis around, which is good. Don't want to be common as muck ;)

Had a trip up to Wrexham Maelor Hospital today for an MRI scan and saw a white one on the Oswestry By-pass, and then had a scenic drive home through Llangollen, Corwen, Bala and Dolgellau, and passed a blue one on the A5.

Just passed two yeti on short journey back from town.

First a red one, then a white (yay!)

Hmmm, I have just changed my Grey Yeti for a Corrida Red one; now there is another Corrida Red one in our village.

Is it possible that mine is sneaking down the road after lights out? Should I be locking the garage door?

there is a few where i live about 4 or 5, and skoda's are actually quite popular superb, octy and fabia, and the taxi drivers love them and they make up about 85% of the trade and there is one yeti private hire too

Appears to be sneaking off to do Facebook ads for Skoda too, judging by my feed today:

Anyway back to the thread.... We have just come back from 6 days in Croatia - not one Yeti to be seen :(
