Yeti spotting - result!

Featured Replies

I see Madame le Photoshop hasn't managed a "Draig Goch" on yet. :giggle:

I think we really need a proper thread for these, so I shall open one.

Rockhopper, most definitely not you but I'll keep my eyes peeled as you seem the most local to me! ;)

MarieK thank you, absolutely brilliant!

Two spots today. A red one at lunchtime near Walton - and the chap waved back :sun: Then this evening I was ahead of a black 13 plate on the roundabout at J45 off the A1, but not in a position to wave.

Saw a 13 plate Yeti L&K at Morrisons in Heckmondwike today in steel grey, CR140 4x4 DSG.

It looked identical to our new Yeti that we're eagerly awaiting delivery of any day now. At least I got a chance to see what it's going to look like! I've got to say that those Annapurnas look much better in the flesh than I thought they would and they suit the car perfectly.

Three of us lined up all in a row at Tebay services on M6 Southbound today at about 1400; mine plus two silver ones

A dark red one (is that called rosso brunello or something like that) and a silver/grey one in the car park at Sheringham Park this morning when I took the dog for a walk. Both 'foreigners' ... not local.

Spotted my first Yeti Ambulance; looked lost trying to find the Hospital in Scunthorpe late this afternoon :giggle:

Oh and I got waves from two white Yeti's (may have been the same one :wonder: ) in the late morning at Hutton Cranswick and then early afternoon close to Skerne.

TP

Two yesterday, black one heading towards Banstead (9am) and later a white one on St Dunstan's Hill (230ish)..... Rockhopper?

I have just driven from near Whitby to Edinburgh(200mls approx) and did not see another Yeti!

That's what happens if you drive with your eyes closed. :giggle:

A wave from a lady in a red Yeti, just outside Wetherby this afternoon.

Clearly she thought you were Chris de Burgh.

Silver one with 2 lads in it, near Clows Top (Worcs) - I think it was silver - didn't have time to wave as I was doing some "spirited driving" in mine. I do like the B roads around there... :D

A white Yeti in front of me coming home from work today...13 plate.

Come on... Own up.

Who's teasing MarieK ? :giggle:

Saw two Yetis (separately) heading north on the A7 (north of Carlisle) yesterday evening, though I wasn't in mine at the time. One was an orangey/red colour, the other was Muscovado, Was also passed by a black 62-reg Yeti in Beaconsfield this afternoon (again, I wasn't in mine).

You're getting the miles on quickly!

That was the idea! Picked up my other car on Friday and headed up to Scotland on Saturday afternoon, coming back via the Lake District last night. Put around 850 miles on it over the weekend, so it's virtually run in now. The Yeti still only has 650-odd on it, so that will be getting some further outings later this week. (Can't have it getting jealous, now, can I... :))

Saw THREE Yetis within 10 minutes in Kirkbymoorside, N Yorkshire this afternoon. This is getting beyond a joke!

Did I miss something?

Perhaps (although it was posted in response to one of yours... :giggle: )...

I have a lot of respect for Hughes as a company. I've been a customer at their Beaconsfield branch since 1998 and currently have a car on order there as well...

Was slowing down for a roundabout in my Golf near Canberra Airport last Saturday when a white Yeti with a black roof whizzed past on the outside lane as if the roundabout didn't exist.

First sighting in the area outside the dealer..

Perhaps (although it was posted in response to one of yours... :giggle: )...

Ah. Perhaps it's imminent senility that would explain my difficulty remembering who has what 'others' . (There is some advantage in only having one car. I'm unlikely to leave it at the shop/pub/wherever and walk home - too far - and if I see a Yeti round here it's about evens that it's mine  .)

there is one on this weeks carbuyer review of the pug 208 gti

I saw no less than four monsters in the Peak District yesterday, two in Buxton, one in Bakewell and one between the two towns. Two of them white, one light blue and one Red. Passing through the Batemoor area of Sheffield today coming towards me was a Muscovado one with a Silver roof which looked very impressive. No one waved and no light flashers, probably none of them part of our group
