I'm only getting about 450 to 480 miles to a full tank.

Does this seem abit crap for a FL 170 diesel?

I was thinking about the 2.0 turbo vag engine in my next car( Audi or skoda/vw )

What mpg can I expect?

Ps my right foot weighs 12 stone!!!!

Not really my 1.9TDI PD105 does about 430 average around town and some motorway.

Best ive had is 530 and that was nursing it somewhat, with a hard stint at one point for a minute or two.

Leeds to hull twice a week plus lots of local journeys, 25000 miles since January 2010.

its the local journeys that kill it, my superb is also suffering now my daily commute is down to 1 mile.

After getting Octy, i am obsessed with Fuel Efficiency so if I see a Traffic Jam on Motorway then I curse it not only because it means lost time but more so it is going to Scrxx my average!!!

450 or more between fills is normal in my Yeti!

450-500 depending on load and traffic delays!

My 1.8 TSI DSG gets around 450 miles on average on a tankful, 80% motorway, 20% city, lots of locking in to 7th gear and some coasting. SWMBO's TSI VRS gets about 400 miles on the same ratio.. Bring on hybrid and stop start as that what kills these 2 ton, fuelled and loaded, beasts ie its not the cruising it is the accelearing and decleration energy wastage. 1.8 TSI DSG combined is 52 mpg, already getting 46 mpg on the run, mostly at legal limit, range will show 600 miles plus on occasion I am sure, seen 570 miles on the TSI VRS.
