new wiper blades needed

Featured Replies

any ideas on which make and where to buy.prices i have seen are £29-£32 for twinset also need rear.

Don't dismiss genuine blades from your local Skoda dealer, they aren't as expensive as you think...

Just out of interest I bought a passenger side wiper from Tesco last June, and it seems very good, only £3.00 at the time!

I am resident in Jersey so dont do much motorway driving, but it survived our recent unusual dump of snow & low temp.

Get mine from Speeding.

It's pack VM310.

Bosch from Halfords were about £26 the last time I looked. My originals are still working fine at 18 months. I will change them in due course.

I got the Valeo Silencio a while back and took them off within a week. I saw good reports but they weren't very 'silencio' for me so I put OEM back on :smirk: . I have just ordered some Bosch Aero flat from the ebay shop mentioned above (Raceparts) so will see how I get on.

thanks guys for the input.skoda quoted £28.37 + vat for front twinpack. £5.72 + vat for rear. bosch aero twinpack from halfrauds £32 so i may well go with them depending on price for rear blade.

happy new year to you all.

Just out of curiosity what brand are the OEM blades, are they Bosch?

I used to use -

http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/skoda-octavia-2004-to-2010-wiper-blades/

as quoted in another posting here

But also as per another posting I now simply get them from a Skoda Dealer for wipers as as I do for the 5 Litre bottles of official Skoda Screen Wash ( as the fan jets / and headlamp jets are fussy about other screen wash I have found ) - both of these from Skoda are very good value

But if you still want to purchase away from a Skoda dealer then I have used on previous cars and not my current Octavia Scout

The Bosch Wipers and Sonax Clear View http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/240910/sonax_clear_view_1100.html

How much for a 5l bottle of Skoda screenwash?

I've only seen 1l bottles on sale.

I ordered them ( they come in packs of 4 ) from my local dealer and the total price for the 4 X 5L bottles was £30.55 part number is ZGB00QSWC055L

Ita official Skoda/VAG Fan Spray Concentrate Additive

It took them approx 2 weeks to get them in

Very good - just over £1.50 per litre, when the normal 1 ltr bottle is just under £4.

Thanks. But I don't think it will be convenient to go to the dealer twice. Will attempt to order when I drop off the car for the turbo replacement in a few weeks time.

Just fitted a set of Bosch Aero flat wipers today - they looked almost identical to the OEM that I took off. I would be surprised if Bosch didn't make OEM
