Following on from the "success" of last years thread I have taken it upon myself to run, score and rule a new thread for 2011 (yes i am clearly a glutton for punishment)

To get a handle on the game check the link above but it's pretty simple

The rules

A specific challenge is set

Briskodians take their Skodas (or other vehicle) out into the wide world and take the required picture

Said picture is then posted here as evidence

win is "awarded" by the original challenge setter

the winner then sets the next challenge

A challenge may not completed by the person who set is until it has gone uncompleted for a week

winning picture earns 3 points

single bonus points will be awarded fro pictures submitted after a challenge has been completed but before the next challenge has been completed.

ie challenge one set - challenge 1 completed - challenge 2 set - pictures can stil be submitted for challenge 1 - challenge 2 completed - no more pictures for challenge 1 - etc etc

Challenge #1 for 2011 - your car pictured with a welcome to Nottinghamshire road sign

A Happy New Year to you and all the other Briskodians as well Pasty.

I've decided to make a New Years Resoloution for 2011 - to endeavour to beat Bradford Boy in the Photo Challenge!

Due to a single white line I had to park slightly behind the sign so this is the reverse view:-

He is a winner because he is he first person to post a pic that meets the criteria of the challenge. John therefore gets 3 points for it.

That challenge is still open, so you can still enter for it. If your pic meets the criteria, you will get a bonus point. All points for every challenge are given by PastyBoy, who keeps the score. As explained in the first post, the previous challenge is only open until the winner of the current challenge is decided. The Challenge setter decides on the win. He can reject it, so the challenge would be still on (unless PastyBoy over-rules him).

I hope that's cleared up your confusion.

P.S. I hope everybody's New Years Resolution is not to be too picky for deciding winners. We are not going to ague over the definition of, what's next to, alongside, near to, etc.

If you are new and want to post pictures there are several ways of doing it.

Sign up and join to sites like PhotoBucket which is very popular or Flickr, webshots, Google Picasa etc. These sites are free to do it.

If you do not wish to sign up to any sites, you can use ImageShack or Tinypic. The first time you use ImageShack you can upload multiple pics, but after that, like Tinypic you have to do them individually.

Whichever you do, it's always best to get the sites to resize them. Use 640x480 or 800x600. The only other thing is before attempting to upload, always edit out any numberplates shown on each pic.

It is good fun and they are a friendly bunch... if a little :wonder: competitive sometimes!

I'm going to have a word with PastyBoy for daring to omit old rules and for starting off a new challenge when he should have realised that Panama doesn't have counties SM!

If he'd have set a challenge about countries then you'd have been okay though.

At this time of the year it's probably down to him having pork pies instead of pasties and that's clouded his judgement.

As to the latest challenge by the 2011 Briskoda Car Photo Game's current reigning champion (see the pun?) and in the spirit of international harmony, I'll amend it to:

Challenge #2 - Your vehicle parked in close proximity to a'round pillar box style' Post Box that is over 59 years old.

People in the UK will realise that both those challenges equate to the same thing so I've not really altered it at all.

Feel free to point out if I unfairly set challenges that exclude you but if Panama still has this method of postal communications then you'll just have to sit this one out I'm afraid.
