i got an extra two, for ~400 euro. and if I remember correctly, it was free with the 'Conditions salon'.

if you compare specs from the Belgian Elegance and the UK one, you'll also see differences. No GSM (bluetooth) whatsoever for instance in good ol' België, you pay extra...

Never mind, they pay about twice as much for their cars in Norway compared to UK and Belgium, so you are still better off!

Hehehe... That´s true, but most of that money goes to the goverment.... I guess it will have some impact on businesses who import new cars (and used) to Norway since the new warrenty only applies to cars sold from official dealers.

I got my black estate elegance 140 4x4 yesterday and I have driven it approx 150km since then. Here are some of my first impressions.

Well, I went to the dealers on sep 23rd knowing the model would be available for order pretty soon. I was leaving the country for a month and wanted to order it as soon as it was possible. We agreed on a price on based on the 2wd version, and added approx 5000GBP for the 4x4 option. We agreed that the if the price difference between a 4x4 and a 2wd would lower, I would get a cheaper car, if it was higher, I would pay more. The order went through around october 1st, and the difference was about 4500 GBP at the time, so the car was cheaper than anticipated.The delivery was going to be around april, but luckily I got it in january, and that was with the panorama sunroof aswell.

I paid around 59000GBP for the car with all the extras....

True. I just checked Norwegian prices, and the base price for a Superb Combi Elegance DSG 4x4 is 465,000NOK which is 59,000EUR. Add in a few extras (I added up the options I just put into mine), and the Norwegian price rockets up to 67,000NOK - whereas I am paying 33,500EUR for mine (I got an 18% discount on car plus options). From what I can see, I have very much the same options in the car as Justin Case.

So I guess I can't complain too much... Except for the delivery time. Ordered mid-January, delivery expected around mid-June.

Well the Norwegain goverment has to get money from somewhere, and about 190.000NOK is taxes. But hey, Norway is the best country to live in according to the UN... :wonder:

Anyways, I mounted my Ski box today, and I am very happy about it. The roof rack I got has a very low profile, so there is not much gap between the roof and the ski box.

Does it whistle when you're driving with the box on top?

Although, with the 80kmh or 90kmh limit in Norway, I don't know if it will be much of a problem... ;-)

The roof bars are called Whispbar Prorack.

I used to have the box on my Octy earlier, and I can´t remember hearing much sound from it even at speeds above 90km/h

alcon, I ordered my superb mid-December at a Brussels dealer. The initial delivery date was mid-May, last week I got an e-mail, telling me I'll get it at the beginning of March.

That would be very nice... But the dealer (D'Ieteren Meiser) didn't take my e-mail address.

I popped in on Friday after work to ask if they had more news, and the dealer didn't even look at the computer - just told me that it's too early to know anything.

I ordered at D'Ieteren Fort Jaco.

I actually called them to get the build week, they told me it might be too early, but will let me know. A few hours later, I got the e-mail.

What did you order? Becuase my future car is DSG 4x4 with a panoramic runroof, that already added at least 6 weeks to the delivery date - or so I was told. Did your order include any special things?

dsg in my case too - 6 weeks as well (they don't accumulate, as I also have kessy, which means 3 weeks).

I've got the winters on black alloys now Al.

I've cleaned and stored the Themistos with the Contis for Spring and Summer which round here are two days in June!
