aye seen that, looks good, its to go on a FL. thinking about getting it in black. I checked what my insurance would and wouldnt allow, the diffuser they wouldnt (tinted rear windows, black alloys and a small/med spoiler were all OK) unless it was purchased and fitted from a dealership.

WTF? It's hardly going to make it any faster??

I know (quite the opposite) its purely aesthetics, it doesn't alter the air intake to the rear as it isn't big enough. the underwriters still said they wouldn't cover it.

They'd argue that it makes the car more attractive. I can think of another reason but I'm too polite to say - each to their own.

i believe the official skoda one is not compatible with the vRS models, whereas the superskoda one is specifically for the vRS.

speaking of superskoda, they have 2 versions - i however can't see any difference between the two.

- Octavia II RS - rear diffusor STUDIE RS+ v2.

- Octavia II RS - rear diffusor STUDIE RS+

the difference is at the end of the defuser. the RS+ V2 has erm "fins"? at each end where as the RS+ does not

What's the point? It serves no purpose?

purely looks. im undecided i do think it fineshes the rear off nicely, dunno if looks that good for circa £300 tho!

i came across your blog last night, like the pics. useful insight into the springs aswell, something else im think of. i have a white vrs estate on order.

IMHO, you'll get ten times more satisfaction from an upgraded RARB & a Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit for that £300

Thanks.

As has been said, 300 quid would buy you some other mods that could be argued as a better way to spend your money.. suspension upgrades or a re-map.
