I can understand the reason why most garages complain if you just want a balance \ fitting only when you bought your tires elsewhere.

To be honest, I ring round the local tyre places, conversation usually goes: "Alright mate, how much for fitting & balancing 4 tyres if I supply them?"

Never had any complaints about not buying the tyres from them.

Try Spire Tyres in Salisbury on 01722 323212. They sometimes come out cheaper than buying online.

may also be worth a try, historically they were always pretty keen.

They [Micheldever] are part of a larger chain, so you may well find a dealer a bit closer to your Salisbury/Hampshire location. Blandford Tyres in, funnily enough Blandford are part of the same group.

my local protyre have been fitting my tyres 1 at a time for me £12 now £10 each as they find a tyre at a time funny imo

If you buy your tyres from Tyre Shopper,your tyres are supplied and fitted at National tyres.
