Hi All - Thanks Colin!!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on this forum, just thought I would say hello. I am about to become the proud owner of a previously enjoyed octavia 1.8t slxi, with full leather and all the toys...would have loved the vrs, but too new (meaning expensive) plus the silver interior would'nt look so good after my little un had crayoned it and the dogs had wiped there feet on it.

If your wondering what put me on to the octy, well it was good old fashioned value for money...and the word turbo on the badge...hurrah!!

Also a BIG thanks to colin, cheers mate!! I apologise for having no concept of computers and the internet.

Cheers Fram.

Welcome to Briskoda Fram!

Don't be shy to use the forums, and take any barking you hear with a pinch of salt. We are mostly all tame. wink.gif

Welcome Fram and second Adrian's words - except it's 203bhp (metric - imperial works out at about 200).

Whoops!:o

Sorry Nick in down figuring your beast!

Hmmmm......only another 3 weeks and circa 230bhp for my RS.:D

Welcome Fram :D

I've got a colleague at work who wants an Octavia Turbo ASAP (he's not bothered if it's not an RS - no offence to none RS owners). Is that Jabba figure for the 1.8T slx pretty much maxed out?

Mark - if you mean mine - yes it's as much as Mike could wring from it with sensible boost values - he sets himself a limit of 1.05bar. Mine is an X reg so has the old throttle cable controlled AGU engine. I don't know if there are non-RS cars out there with the newer fly-by-wire VVT engine (AUH?). If so they should be good for 220 bhp.

HTH

Nick, that helps just fine, cheers.

There are. The ARX in the 4X4 and the AUM in the 2WD.
