Yes Martin, would be delighted to have another Yeti onboard!

Do you have any questions about where to meet or anything or how to find us?

Can you please email me ([email protected]) your details inc full name, reg number, and mobile number so that I know you've made it on the day.

Thanks!

Thanks James, I just emailed you my details.

Bockett's Farm car park at 9.30 Sunday morning, right? Not been to Bockett's before, but I found it on StreetView and I know that road so can't see any problems finding it. You'll be the guys in the Yetis, I presume... :)

Really looking forward to it!

I''ve also been past it many, many times. Just looked it up. No need for sat navemoticon-0140-rofl.gif.

Should be a fun cross country drive there as wellemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Ohhhh. Thanks for reminding me of that Mike!!!

Oh yeah I did forget about the clock change, well remembered.

I've been out and tested the Yeti that SkodaUK have kindly sent me on my planned route. Took me just under 3 hours but that included some messing around doing a particularly impressive obstacle a couple of times.

Honestly I forgot how good the Yeti was offroad.

You will need to maximise your ground clearance though so if you're running small wheels you really REALLY need change them.

The good news is I managed to get it rather muddy which will please some of you!

Hope you don't mind getting your Yetis a little dirty on Sunday....

If you haven't tried the downhill assist feature before I shall demonstrate that to you as well as the other features and I'm certain you'll be impressed!

Awh. And I had mine washed today specially!!! So as to not be the dirty one (again) in the pictures. But James you have me licked. Even before I had washed mine it was not as dirty as that!

(and ps: the wheels are getting changed in 90 minutes!)

I was going to wash mine tomorrow, but having seen that picture......

Looks like the RRP will get a workout as well.

Andy

Is that mud a SUK approved accessory?

Couple of times I think the ground got very close to the underside but not close enough to worry the underside of the car apart from it is probably rather muddy. I shall have to take it back to an underchassis car wash before I give it back to SkodaUK, I'll feel bad if I give it back dirty!

I wouldn't bother washing it to be honest, what with the lanes and the drive down!

Looking forward to seeing you all Sunday morning 0930.

Weather reports are saying that it will be dry Sunday with highs of 11 small chance of rain tommorow afternoon which might help get rid of some of the dust!

Cor! I really wish I could join you guys but I don't get my Yeti for about another 3 weeks and I live quite a long way away unfortunately !.

I would really enjoy doing something like this - maybe you will have another one that I can participate in !.

Hopefully someone is going to take lots of videos etc. so I can drool over those .

Many congratulations to you James for organizing this. Wouldn't you like to open a sub-dealership in North Wales ?.

Hope you all really enjoy it - I'am sure you will. John

Just find a couple of fords on your trip, James!!

Just find a couple of fords on your trip, James!!

I know of two in the area but they are both very small this time of the year. There are a few mud puddles to splash through though!

Plenty in Surrey on www.wetroads.co.uk!!

Some of the fords on wet roads can get very deep B) over thr font of my Disco 2 lucky i had a snorkle!!

Looks like you guys are going to have fun, need to see plenty of pic's of a load of muddy yeti's.

Sounds like you guys are a bit.....Errm.....EXCITED...Enjoy!:sun:

(when you talked about 2 fords I thought you meant Anglia/escort)

I wonder what makes you think that........

One of the Fords two Winters ago got up to about 3 feet which even the old Landcruiser didn't like going through....

Not sure what the wading depth on the yeti actually is, although you should never really wade above the of the wheel anyway I think.

Tut Tut!! You sell an off-road vehicle and don't know a very important fact!!

Actually the handbook says not deeper than the bottom of the sills.....humm??

I always thought a safe guideline was to the top of the wheels (not tyres) although looking at it that would make a fairly deep water crossing!

That used to be the LR Defender/Disco advice. I certainly wouldn't try Dewi the Yeti as deep as I took my old Freelander, that was up to the headlights, and well over LR's recommendations!
