after seeing a post in the other marques forum on the volvo t5r it got me thinking... 155mph from a big estate with 240bhp and 300nm. what sort of top speeds have all you remapped octavia people had from your cars when running similar power. would a remapped octavia estate be looking at these sort of speeds . would be nice to boast that your skoda can hit those sort of speeds heh...

More than that on a modded one, the Octavia has much better aerodynamic (come to think of it, so does my house ). I think the cD on the RS is 0.28, so it's a slippery sucker. Mine easilly cracked the 155 mark, as I'm sure Colin (Neo) will confirm I could hit the limiter in 5th.

I think the answer is on the rev limiter in 5th - about 170 mph :eek: :eek: :eek:

i would imagine that Octavia Estate vRS that has been re-mapped would be getting very near that top speed.

mines easily shows 150 on the clock,with a bit more to give so i'd hope when i go to Germany this year and now i've got my GPS i'll be able to try for a true top speed.

Actually, mine was marginally higher as the limiter was at 7200, so a gnat's under 175. The 170 is for one with a standard limiter

I don't think an RS with just a remap will hit the limiter in 5th on level ground, nor will it ever hit a true 170.

don't think mine ever will,butt dyno at 140 indicated saw me ease off,things started bending on the side of the track

157mph via Roadangel2 (speedo off the clock) around 6000rpm (couldn't get an accurate reading due to crapping myself).

You are all comparing your top speeds to the T5-R's book top speed of 155mph. I was always under the impression that like many high performance cars this speed was limited to 155mph, therefore, unlimited who knows what it could reach

ive nae idea how fast i was going at the time... but it was pretty fast
