Oh no, he's finally done it....

As we all know, I sold the Passat two weeks ago today.

It's been a disappointing experience, hunting down a suitable new motor, with some real horror stories out there.

I will however, take delivery of a 56 plate Astra diesel on saturday.

*hangs head in shame*

Ten years of VAG ownership, down the pan......

Sad times

Eeww.

My condolences :bandit:

If you get in that Astra you'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life. :giggle:

You vaux-all the way there & vaux-all the way back :p

I was forced to drive a w plate Astra at work a few years ago. Never Ever again.

But then I drove brother in law's Astra Van to Londres and back and totally loved it. I suggest you try and swap said Astra for the van, right good vehicle.

Go and sit on the naughty step!!

Was it really worth the change from the passat???

They dont call them disastras for nothing, my deepest condolences. :p

£2k in my back pocket straight away, insurance & VED drop says "Yes" so far....fuel is better on paper, not that there's much in it.

As for wearing a leper hat at meets.....you'll never get me to one alive, I say!

Just think of the modding opportunities ;)

Had a look on Parkers, and i cant seem to find this model... it appears to be a "Sport Turbo VXR Bull" :giggle:

i wonder how much all this actually cost to do... :o

Had a 56 plate 1.3 CDTi (90bhp) Corsa Sxi for the wife when they just came out... we owned it for 7 months - it was off the road for 8 weeks in this time due to recalls...

I was just expecting more of a step down.

Do you think it belongs to the lady with the white hair or the lady with the grey hair?

The last time I saw a collection of badges like that on the back of a car it was in Germany, in Feb 1992, and the car was a Trabant. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to get a pic as our coach blew it off!

Do you think it belongs to the lady with the white hair or the lady with the grey hair?

Looks like the old lady in the grey hair is laughing at it

No she's smiling at her pide and joy!

My condolences Gwilo. What happened?

Money in the pocket is one thing, and cheaper tax. But you still have to use and drive the thing...

Also, with that great modded example above - is it me, or are those lots of stick-on 'shark fin' aerials, along the lovely spoiler?!
