I'm keeping this bit of wood...mainly as it's attached to my head.

I sense the problem will get better shortly, but these highly crafted items must be going somewhere...

I agree a sudden power loss IMHO is a danger on the road, especially given most "average" M-way drivers proximity to the rear bumpers.
