  • Here are some from my Lofoten Islands, Norway trip to shoot northern lights. It was an excellent trip, very cold but worth it.

Bempton cliffs is amazing isn't it... I e never seen so many birds in one place.

Was there any sign of the Albatross?

Yes - truly wonderful.

Didn't see an Albatross unfortunately.

Very pleased to have seen this. Very distant and not the best photo, but chuffed nonetheless ๐Ÿ‘

Ooh lucky bugger. Weve been a few times but seems to miss the puffins.

Last time we wentbtere had been and Albatross around for a few days and that morning but it'd left about an hour before we got there.

We've got a red Poppy in a pot on the patio. Nice surprise to see it bloom a pink Poppy today:

It's ever so delicate, so I'm not expecting it to last the day.

PS: While I'm at it, I went to Manor Gardens in Bexhill yesterday. It's only a small place, an acre perhaps, but it's a bit of an oasis with some lovely bird song and plants. Doesn't come out so well on camera, but these roses were a stunning lilac, almost glowing:

Whole bed of 'em!

Havenโ€™t been out much, been busy digging out about 100 tonnes of concrete and installing soakaways. Though managed to get to the causeway. Schoolboy error with the stabilisation settings (didnโ€™t change them from Oulton Park) so the images werenโ€™t great. A few camera phone shots as well.

Finally got a roll of 35mm film developed. My mate's Corsa made an excellent subject.

Thanks Mike. I got lucky with the light, straight after a rain shower. Iโ€™ll try again when the scaffolding is down and use a slow shutter to try and capture the castles reflection in the water. Might frame it then lol.

Hereโ€™s some shots I took between showers today at Floors Castle. Murdered the processing on a couple , though I quite like it.
