Yep -- that reg - registered in Cork and 1989 is its first Reg date anywhere ( i.e. if it lived somewhere else before imported to Ireland ).

But a low number like 1929, suggests it was a registered new in 1989 !

Cartell.ie says it's got Ford underpinnings with a 2.5litre engine. It's kind of a re-bodied Transit. So, instead of Fake News, this is a Fake Old !

Oh - it's an Asquith ... here you go https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asquith_(1981_automobile)

p.s. It does look RHD, though.

I knew it was a transit based kit as I've seen their "classic" long bonnet cars used at weddings....

The spot is Paekakariki Hill Lookout. Just North of Wellington, New Zealand, looking out at Kaptiti Island.

The car is my 1985 Audi urquattro. It shares a few parts with a Mk2 Golf :D

Quick shot of mine today ..spent the past few weeks servicing, & doing new brake & pads all around & fitting the winters on...& a through clean...

The ceramic coating is holding up fine...& bear in mind this car is 4yrs old at the end of the month...

Oh & the picture has been reduced right down...to 1000pixels....I was messing around with the High res setting also which produces huge pictures...& I have done nothing to it except blank out the reg plate...

The OM-D E-M1 & the 14-40mm f2.8 is pretty sharp...& BTW this was shot at the 40mm end to get rid of as much perspective distortion...

one small item in all your shots...the horizon...if you have software you can level this

a good free one which i always use for certain functions is

PhotoFiltre

http://www.photofiltre-studio.com/pf7-en.htm

it has easy to use presets..

i did one of yours thus...rotate -1.8 degrees...added 0ne click saturation, reduce gamma -1..sharpen 1

if you dont want to do that see if your camera has a grid screen...it will help with horizontals and verticals

hope you dont mind...

cheers

I snapped the pictures and sent them, photography not photo correction, wifi camera to phone while sitting on a bike.

No touching up, just in the moment at the moment.

like yesterdays pictures they will always be askew as i must be all to the left like Gourock.

(i could get a job fitting Arnold Clark Registration plates.)

These are poor snaps of the equipment as well, sorry, but it is a waterproof camera in poor lighting.

It can fasten on your rucksack or what ever and run video or time laps snaps so dead handy just set in the holder,

or hang round your neck and snap pics.

press one button and instantly on, and snap away, send by wifi to phone, car etc.

Only £100 and has done me quite well, charges and stays charged for weeks when just taking snaps, always in my trouser pocket with keys.

(edit, it was £150 with extras like Handlebar mount, rucksack mount, i see they cost more now.)

This one is usually in my backpack and had it a few years after having lost lots many cameras by laying them down and moving on.

What really peeded me off was pictures taken by me that were then on a Flickr account of someone and i only had access to them on Emails i had added them to and on a forum.

basically someone doing a screenprint….& cropping it exactly to remove the rest of the computer screen...

that's why its a good idea to put your name on them..I do in PS..& I reduce them down to a max 1000pixels on the longest edge...when in fact they are 4200??...or if in high res its 8000? approx...
