Mine was built beginning of build week 15. Speaking to the dealer he said its taking up to three weeks to ship the cars across at the moment.

This is what happens when the car reaches the UK according to a car transporter driver.

Ship docks cars unloaded to quayside then checked for damage

Cars then moved to the large stocking/holding area again checked for damage

Then logistics kicks in to get the cars to the dealers in the most cost effective way.If the dealer has say ordered 12 cars and 8 arrive on one shipment the other 4 are due on the next ship in a few days time, the dealer may wait so a full load can be delivered in one operation.Also the car delivery companies have to maximise profit and always leave the port with full loads.

I thought that when the ship had docked my car would be at the dealers within a few days but its more like 1/2 weeks.

Looking at the location of the 3 ships i've heard mentioned i'm unsure how that is possible

Think the EMS is carrying VW's by her dock position in Emden.

Yes still got my anorak out; also looking out for wakev' s Monster Keep an eye on the Elbe Highway, she's just arrived in St Petersburg.

i have been checking it all morning,it moved around the corner to another birth no status change. go and cut the lawn and the status changes.

But the wait will be worth it.... picked up my white Yeti in York yesterday and am thrilled with it. Will post my first impressions on another thread along with others who have now got theirs.

Which week was yours built? Checked the track your skoda site, it says mines still in Germany. :(

week 15, although it was supposed to be week 17.

It seemed to jump randomly forward on week 15 itself (no idea why).

Few others on here had theirs built on week 15 but didn't ship at the same time (i assume you're in the same boat)?

Only thing i can think of is that theirs were going to sheerness where as mine came in via Grimsby and possibly that ship had more quota available?

All seems a bit like a national lottery ticket to me.
