Hi well done you will enjoy the cr tdi 1.6, I don't have the monte I have the elegance in Black magic, and spec the sat nav it's good but once it gets the firmware update it will take 7digit postcodes, you will not regret getting the. Diesel over the Tsi as fuel economy and torque is fantastic in the cr , 3gear is awesome

Dont know how much gap insurance is but drive the deal can do the same car at £12731.51, i recently order a octavia 1.2 dsg from carfile and it beat drive the deal price by £400, the dealer is in nottinghamshire so not many miles away from manchester. i have nothing to do with carfile but the guy on the phone was excellant and explain everything to me, i end up going to the same dealer i visit before but didnt like the final £££ he qouted me , The same salesman sold me the same car £500 less then his best best price in the showroom. on the paper work i saw the numbers

total discount = 20.5% carfile commission = 0.5%

or roughly £70 from the deal

VAT deal is great, though frankly I think its the only way Skoda continue to sell so many cars. At their RRP they are no longer what I'd consider cheap or particularly great value.

I think they are good value although the OP could have almost got a vRS for that price... I know I didn't pay much more for my Estate vRS that's on order!

Becarefull with GAP, dealership price was £500 for my £24k Passat but I could get it for £200 online.

When I told the dealer I wouldn't be taking out gap because I can get it for £200 he said without even blinking "No problem we can match that"

Same as the £400 LifeShine treatment, local Autoglym Specialist Valater charges £120. Dealer straight away would match the price but in the end I got it thrown in.

We haven't decided on GAP for the new Fabia yet.

Cheers

i have a mk4 golf tdi at the moment and thats pretty good on fuel and when i found out the monte did 78.5mpg i couldnt beleve it plus its £20 tax a year and standard warranty for 3 years , the build quality is also excellent in the skoda well of what i can see ,im looking forward to my heated seats also lol, never had them before,

i hope my dials are white like the vrs but atleast the maxidot will be white and that looks cool,

im guna get a vrs looking tale pipe fitted at some point

the gap insurance from skoda in colne was £199 so if it was a waste of money it wouldnt of been a massive lose.

the sales man told me in colne the vat is still of for another 3 weeks from now so there is still chance for the abit of a bargain

if some one knows a better car brand new for 13411 please tell me ! too l8 now tho lol

, if you ring carfile the car is listed as £12148

and ask for qoute as your extras is only £570 ish after the vat off discount they will put you in touch with a dealer at nottinghamshire so you dont have far to travel

the price will be around £12718

if you are paying for maxidot it might be worth your while to get sat nav as it cost £420 ish but you get maxidot aswell so you are only paying £280 for sat nav

i was looking at fabia and though the heating dails look nuff and would want to add climate aswell

Ouch 25 week wait for the derv!? I been quoted 10-12 on the TSI Petrol monte carlo.

1.6 derv engine has been in short supply across the vag group as it is in just about everything with a bluemotion badge plus Audi A1, A3, polo, golf, jet, passat, Ibiza, and the skodas of course.

Glad I didn't pick it in the end then :D!! The 1.2 TSI with the DSG seems to be delayed quite badly too!

1.2 TSI Manual ftw hopefully :D

Suits me, don't want the thing till September - October would be even better.

dont understand this, i order a octavia 1.2tsi dsg a week ago and been told it is 8-12 weeks

Personally would have gone for the 1.2 TSi, would better suit the more sporting nature of the car, the CR engine is very good but its not as quiet or as spirited as the TSi 105.

Think it is a shame that DSG is not available on the Monte, though no doubt you would not get the paddles anyway.

im not to botherd to be honest about a few hundred ive already put a 1000£ deposit down now its to l8 probs, the 1600crtdi is in high demand its going in about 7 deiferent cars

they mustnt be able to make them quick enough

i didnt bother with the climate control because it already has aircon as standard it looks nicer than dials i suppose, if i would of kept on adding extras it would of just cost to much.

really wana start driving it now

wish i got the sunroof there a nice touch

Fabia vRS for only £200 more......

Although in isolation the price you have paid (or will pay) is still excellent.

It is such a shame that the Monte Carlo doesn't have the 1.4TFSI (122PS) unit fitted to the A1. My dad has that engine in his A1 and I was pleasantly suprised at just how well it pulled given the figures. It wasn't much different to my Clio 200 off cam (although on cam (5500 - 7400rpm) would make quick work of the 1.4TFSI).

its not £200 more when you think about it

tax £20

insurance

mpg 78.5

i drive to uttoxeter everday to work from manchester i just couldnt afford it ,

diesels hold there value better to

the 180bhp in the lil vrs is absolutly amazing tho

I think the TSI engines are designed to be more lazy... ie: more low down slug which you use in real life compared to a Clio where to get the most out of it you have to have it screaming constantly. On my daily commute i'm only ever using revs between 1000-2500 so as lazy as possible suits me!

You also drive 140+ miles a day as your commute!? SOD THAT lol

when did you get your monte ? and what spec did you ask for?

yh its a pretty long drive everyday

I have a 160 mile round trip for work as well, otherwise I would have bought a vrs instead of the diesel monte.

The only good news is I only work 18 days in a month

i have never seen a white monte in person so cant say but they did take the red monte to the geneva moto show think they took the white one but every single press photo was red just put it in google there all red plus its the red colour in the brochure the car boffins would of chose white if it looks better and would of got more sales

well i just prefer the black interior so i think thats better
