Did a little reccy the other day of the route, took it nice and steady (old car speed, vmax 55mph), from the pub to the ice cream parlour was 40 miles and took 1h10mins, which included a diversion around some roadworks ...

Don't you just hate it when non Freedom members don't bother to empty their in boxes causing PM's to be rejected! Could I be talking about you Darren....... :p

Anyway, I was just after the location of the super parlour as I won't be able to make it on the day!

Oh and its a secret location but a cryptic clue would be Famous Five author Enid ...... would approve of it.

Having read your other 'glowing' reviews we can only assume we chose the wrong day to visit. Carvery mediocre, ice-cream bland and the attitude of the man serving on the carvery was extremely unwelcoming

I won't be there as I've had my hours at work cut for the 3rd time this year (currently working 20hrs a week :( )

We'll still be coming but will have to be back home by about 6pm at the latest so Angela will be hurrying people along with their meals so we can get to the ice cream parlour in time to be able to have something before we have to head off.

In all seriousness though.... What i'm saying is we might have to get off before we get to the ice cream parlour. It's all Damo's fault for having his birthday on the same day.

Looks like we'll actually have to give this a miss now. We've just gone through all the stuff we have to do and realised we're nit going to get it all done today so will have to do some of it tomorrow. Which would mean having to leave even earlier in the day. :(

We should be able to make it to this months East Mids meet though.

Hi Ben we'll be eating at Thorne, otherwise the ice-cream parlour is in Blyton, we'll be taking an elongated route to it, but 10 Skodas should be easy to spot!
