Skoda Screenwash

Featured Replies

All,

I remember seeing a thread where someone listed the part number for a bulk box of genuine Skoda screenwash, something like 5x 1 litre bottles.

My £100 service plan vouchers have finally arrived together with the low screenwash light so I plan to stock up for the winter.

I've searched and searched but can't find it, any help would be much appreciated!

I got a case of 10 x 1L off ebay. The box appears to be the original with VAG group stickers on the outside and the part number shown is G052164M2.

From googling this part number however it appears to refer to single bottles rather than a case as such?

Thanks, never thought of eBay, I can see the listings, 10 x 1 liter bottles - around £25 inc. delivery.

I'm reckoning £2.50 / liter is going to be cheaper than my local dealer so I'll probably do the same.

Ta!

I got it even cheaper than that. I bid about £6 +p&p on one of his auctions, lost, but then got a second chance offer from him for my original bid price so got 10 bottles for £20 inc p&p

It seems to be the genuine stuff, looks, smells identical to some I bought from a main dealer for £3.50 a bottle recently.

One thing to watch out for though is that some ebay sellers (but not this particular one) sell the ready diluted -21c stuff rather than the -70c concentrate. It looks cheap at first sight but isn't when you consider how much you can dilute the stronger version.

I got a free ltr bottle when my car went in for it's first service, the stuff is amazing, and it says down to -70 on it. Going by the smell i don't doubt it. on my way to ebay very soon i think. cheers.

:) well, at that point I might need something that won't freeze!

I don't use screenwash anymore.

I have some Gtechniq C1 on the screen and just use water to clear.

The coating lasts 30k and costs a tenner. A single bottle is enough to do a couple of cars.

This sort of coating isn't recommended for auto wipers either. Used to have some similar stuff on a few of my earlier cars, but had a bad experience where is basically glued fine spray to the windscreen at 30mph and it was dangerously bad visibility, so stopped using it then. Great on motorways though.

Visibility is great and the stuff works at really low speeds as well as motorway speeds. It doesn't smear the screen like rainX can.

Oh and I don't have auto wipers.

Keeps your nozzles clearer too.
