Fantastic write up, just had mine done 2 weeks ago by an independent VW specialist,

if I'd seen this I would have had a go myself.

Great Job Aubrey you should be proud of doing that. I've always done my own servicing in the past, but the Skoda engine installation seems so tight that I was put off doing the cam-belt. After reading your write up I will definately give it a go when the next one is due. Cheers
