I'm now 15 weeks since ordering, no build week yet, and not expecting delivery until the new year. The wait is a real PITA but I know it'll be worth it.

Car on order is a Superb Estate Elegance 170PS TDI DSG in Amethyst/Ivory/Ivory and options, sunset glass, park assist, electric boot, auto dimming mirror, mats, pano sunroof, 3 spoke wheel with paddles, spare wheel, wood decor, MDI and hill hold.

I know it's going to be amazing...I just want it NOW! (toys out of pram)

I ordered mine about the same time as you (10th June), Superb Estate Elegance 2.0Tdi/CR/170/DSG, Black Magic, MDI, Heated Front Windscreen, Upgraded Sound System, Variable Boot Floor, Sunset Privacy Glass, 18” “LUXON” wheels, Onyx. It was built w/c 15 September and I should collect it this weekend. Throw your toys out of the pram at the dealers!

Jannesm seams that we have almost the same car. Mine is also amethyst with ivory vent seats and no sat -nav. only bolero. pano but no kessy. and other extras.

But what is interesting that you order 2 weeks later then me and you will have a estimation production 2 weeks later also.

Mariusx, have You received Your car by now? :D

Jannesm i'm happy to tell you that i have the car from one month. I received it on 16.09.2011 :D.

And is SUPERB :D

I bought a set of 16" wheels for winter tires and i was surprise by difference between the 17".

I know that it should be a difference because the 16" has more rubber but the difference is big (especially in Romania :p )

I don't want to know how it feels with 18" rims.

You received your car ?

My Superb Se Greenline Combi was ordered on 27th July 2011 and was scheduled for December 2011, then January 2012.

Imagine my surprise when the leasing company emailed me last week to advise my car was ready for delivery and asking if 20th October 2011 would be convenient! I'm still baffled as to how they managed to get my car (with a few options) built and delivered to the UK in slightly less than three months from placing the order.

Ordered date 4 May 2011

Build date received 22 June 2011

"Build/production week for your vehicle is week 35.2011, which is the week commencing 22.08.2011"

Car delivered 26 Sep 2011, exactly to the spec ordered.... just over 4.5 months.

Supplied by AutoFinders, Chesterfield. Their service was first class, regular updates and prompt reply to my emails.

..... Massive savings off list price.

What a difference to my local Skoda dealer, who seemed to have a death wish, very poor knowledge and no real interest is selling me a Superb.

His comments before he had even given me a price..."If I spend time showing you the car then I fully expect you to buy the car from me !"

The Superb is first class, only minor complaint is the low profile tyres with 18" rims... gives a firm ride over poor road surfaces.

My Rover 75 Estate was much smoother... it had 16" rims.

Now refining the setup using VCDS.

Very pleased with my Superb.

Congratulations!

So You got it even a bit earlier than expected? :envy:

What is the tire size for 16" rims?

Also - change it in Your profile and in the register topic.

My production week was moved to W41 and then disappeared completely.

I have somewhat odd situation as I have to purchase this car within this year and there's not long left. I'm getting quite annoyed as I have to explain it to my financial controller and Å koda not giving a damn to communicate does not make it easier. :wall:

Oh btw - we produce the high strength steels used in (also VAG) door sills, impact beams, reinforcements, cross memebers etc. So I guess we should stop supply of UHSS for a small tour de force in order to make our point??

What is the tire size for 16" rims?

For the Superb (both MKI & MKII) the manufactures recommended size is 205/55/16"

My Rover 75 was fitted with 215/55/16 tyres.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Just heard that my Elegance Greenline Estate should (and I say should) be at the dealers on 9th Nov. I ordered at the end of April via Autoebid so about 4-5 months delay.

I ordered a few extras - metallic paint, park assist, rear side airbags, auto parcel shelf, wood decor and auto dim-mirror

Allowing for preparation etc I should have it by the middle of Nov.

This was a bit of a surprise (nice one though) as I wasn't expecting to get it till Jan 2012.

I have had various bits of communication over the past few months as to what exactly will arrive as there was confusion over whether I'd asked for wood decor (I had), but to be honest even if it arrives without I'll keep it after all this time.

I have arranged to pick the car up as I thought better opportunity to check things over than if it was delivered.

Just need to sort out mats - not buying the Skoda variety as opinion seems to be that they are not the best, and some boot protection - have dog. Any advice welcome!

All excited or what?

Good News

Seems as though they are pushing through the Greenlines. Mine was due end of Jan 2012 and it now looks like being mid-end of November. With all the posts of people getting their Greenlines early I am getting v.excited now. Could be rolling around in my Elegance Greenline Estate in Amethyst Purple before the end of November!!!

The car salesman told me (at the ordering stage) that if you're gonna order your Skoda with the parking heater, the delivery time will be postponed by 1-2 months (in addition to standard delivery time) becauce the factory has difficulties to acquire those items. Don't know why? Either the supplier cannot manufacture so many parking heaters as required or then it's an internal decision of VW corporation. But I've also heard rumors that VW corporation would like to limit the list of Skoda's optional equipment because they're selling too many cars compared to VW & Audi (especially SuperBs) ;)

I took delivery of my Greenline Combi today. Just under three months from order to delivery which is a lot faster than most folks. The only extras were metallic paint, heated nozzles, retractable parcel shelf and rear side window blinds.

I'll try to post some images over the weekend.

Excellent news, you must be happy. I didn't order many extras either, paint, auto-dimming rear mirror and as you the sun blinds. Have hardly seen any Superb's on the road this year, now I seem to be spotting them everywhere. Hope to join in the fun soon.

My wild guess for quicker delivery times of Greenline models is, that there are only limited amount of optional equipment in these (ordered) cars.

Like I told here earlier, it's not possible to have a parking heater (which will cause 1-2 months delay to the delivery time) for Greenline models. Neither heated windscreen, electric seats (as far as I know), sparewheel nor DSG. Hence the aforementioned items (and other optional items as well) are not available for Greenline models, they'll be manufactured sooner than the models which have many optional equipment. But that's just my wild guess...

Ordered 10/06/11

Collected 15th October, so that's 18 weeks order to collection.

Superb Elegance Estate CR140/DSG/4X4 Rosso, almost fully loaded, ordered January delivered 20 October.

Hoping to get mine (4x4 170 CR Elegance) about 3 weeks from order to delivery, we'll see when it arrives.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just received text from dealer. SE Plus 2 ltr D 170BHP in Aqua Blue with no extra's, ordered mid October and reported delivery mid March. Thats 20 weeks or 5 months where I come from, why did my company state 10-12 weeks?

Wow, that's a long time :S

But as a comparison: two of my colleagues ordered VW Passats for themselves. The delivery time was nearly 6 months. So maybe VAG group is doing too well when you'd have to wait 5-6 months for a European car  What I've heard about Audi, the delivery times have also been 4-5 months. Don't know about SEATs whether they can be delivered faster?

probably your companies standard blurb, 5 - 6 months is about the average wait and has been for sometime now. Waiting times seem to be reducing now, but they are still very long depending on model.

Apparently, mine landed in the UK today, so three weeks from order to delivery looks like it is going to be about right.

Hardly an order to delivery though is it?

Purchase to delivery is more like it, otherwise it makes it look like someone can factory order a car and get it delivered in just 3 weeks whereas in reality you bought a pre-ordered car (either a stock order or a cancelled order) great news though if you can find a spec you are after that has been cancelled

Just got confirmation. Ordered 8 Oct, build date Friday (11 Nov), delivery expected 19 Nov. That is 7 1/2 weeks!
